Abstract

Technical field of the invention

The invention relates to a removable cover for a bottle for dispensing a fluid product. The invention also relates to a dispensing bottle comprising such a cover. The invention finally relates to a method for assembling such a cover.

In the context of the invention, the fluid product is a cosmetic product, more particularly a perfume, an eau de toilette or even a fragrance.

Technical background

The caps for cosmetic product bottles are perceived by the user as elements of appreciation of the market value of the product, so that a cap of a certain weight and a certain aesthetics will be associated with a perceived value. Attempts have therefore been made to make the caps of the bottles of luxury products heavier and to embellish them in order to satisfy the requirements of the users with regard to the perceived value of said product.

To make the hood heavier, it is customary to include a ballast made of a high-density material, such as steel or Zamak.

To embellish the hood, it is customary to add decorations to it. But it is important that the user of the bonnet cannot dismantle these decorations. It is therefore necessary to find technical means to preserve the integrity of the cover in the long term.

For example, it is known to create decorations on a base of a hood by using the overmolding technique, that is to say by overmolding the decorations on the base. However, this overmolding is not always easy to implement and its feasibility depends on the shape of the base.

The object of the present invention is to provide a removable cover for a dispensing bottle of a fluid product, having a certain weight and a certain volume, and containing decorative elements which are easily added whatever the final shape of the cover and which are unbreakable.

The cover according to the invention comprises, in a conventional manner:

- a base having an outer wall;

- a decorative element which circles at least partly the outer wall of the base;

the base and the decorative element being fixed to each other by interlocking corresponding shapes.

This cover is mainly characterized in that it comprises means for locking the interlocking of said corresponding shapes.

The main idea of this invention is to provide a decorative element that circles the base by being secured to the base, then locked to the base. Locking ensures that the decorative element cannot be dismantled.

According to the different embodiments of the invention, which may be taken together or separately:

This bottle is characterized in that the fixing system comprises a hoop on which the cap is positioned.

Finally, the invention relates to a method for assembling a removable cover for a bottle for dispensing a fluid product, said cover comprising a base, a decorative element and an insert. This process includes the following steps:

- encircle the base with the decorative element;

- fix the decorative element to the base by interlocking the corresponding shapes;

- insert the insert inside a hole provided for this purpose in the base until the insert snaps into the base with simultaneous support of the insert against the decorative element for locking the interlocking of the corresponding forms.

Detailed description of the invention

Referring to Figure 1, there is shown a bottle for dispensing a fluid product according to the invention.

The fluid product is a cosmetic product, more particularly a perfume, an eau de toilette, or a fragrance. To store cosmetic products of the perfume type, it is customary to use a rigid reservoir 2, for example made of glass.

Reservoir 2 is surmounted by a neck defining an upper opening into which a product dispensing system (not shown) is inserted. This system conventionally comprises a pump which is inserted into the upper opening and a dispensing head mounted on the pump. This head generally comprises a push button associated with a spray nozzle. This dispensing system is fixed to the neck of the reservoir using a fixing system comprising a threaded ring (not shown) which is screwed onto the neck of the reservoir and which accommodates the pump. A gasket (not shown) seals between the ring and the tank neck. The fastening system also comprises a decorative hoop 3 which surrounds the ring and which is secured to the ring. This hoop 3 is clearly visible in Figure 1.

Since perfumes are considered luxury products, it is customary to provide a removable cover 1 which is positioned on the hoop so as to hide the dispensing head. Top-of-the-range covers 1 are generally bulky, heavy, and have an elegant decoration on the periphery, therefore visible to the user. This relationship between weight, size, and aesthetics, gives a certain value to the cosmetic product. The cover 1 according to the invention fulfills these three criteria.

The cover 1 according to the invention is illustrated in particular in FIG. 2. It comprises a base 4, a decorative element 5 and an insert 6. These three components therefore form the cover 1.

The base 4 makes it possible to define the weight and the size of the cover 1. Indeed, this base 4 has an imposing volume, the general shape of which is free in terms of aesthetic creation. In the present case, the shape of base 4 is spherical, with partial asymmetry. Any other basic shape 4 is possible, for example cubic, ovoid, etc.

The base 4 includes a truncated zone 15 (see FIG. 5) for its mounting on the dispensing head.

This base 4 is encircled by the decorative element 5. More specifically, the decorative element 5 surrounds the base 4, except at the level of the truncated zone 15 so as not to prevent assembly on the dispensing head. Thus the decorative element 5 encircles the base 4 at least in part. By the notion of strapping, we mean a thin band that surrounds an element, here the base 4. The strapping is made on the outer wall 9 of the base 4.

The decorative element 5 is in the form of an open ring, having a central part 31 and two ends. The attachment between the decorative element 5 and the base 4 takes place at the two ends. To this end, the base 4 comprises two housings 11 provided to receive the two ends of the decorative element 5. The housings 11 are located at the level of the truncated zone 15, that is to say at the level of the zone of mounting of the cover 1 on the hoop 3. The ends of the decorative element 5 consist of hooks 7 which fit inside the housings 11. Thus the housings 11 and the hooks 7 have corresponding shapes to allow the fitting of the decorative element 5 into the base 4.

However, these hooks 7 could be easily removed from the housings 11 of the base 4 if a user were to insert a finger under the base 4, grab a hook 7 and deform the decorative element 5 so as to remove the hooks 7 from the housings 11. To avoid such a situation, means for locking the interlocking of the corresponding shapes, that is to say hooks 7 in the housings 11, are provided in the cover 1. In this case, it is a question of the previously announced insert 6. This insert 6 makes it possible to lock the hooks 7 in the housings 11, that is to say it prevents any relative movement of the decorative element 5 with respect to the base 4. It also prevents any user from being able to access the hook 7 once cover 1 is fully assembled, i.e. once insert 6 is integrated into cover 1.

This insert 6 is secured to the base 4 and bears against the hooks 7. Each hook 7 is thus clamped between the base 4 and the insert 6. In order for the hook 7 to be able to come out of the base 4, it is first necessary to remove the insert 6 from the base 4.

The insert 6 is secured to the base 4 at the level of the truncated zone 15. Thus, it is the insert 6 which will be mounted on the hoop 3 when the cover 1 closes the bottle. The insert 6 fulfills two functions: that of locking the decorative element 5 in the base 4 (means of locking), and that of allowing the coupling of the cover 1 on the hoop 3 (means of coupling).

This hoop 3 is also illustrated in FIG. 2. The insert 6 and the hoop 3 are both cylindrical in appearance.

Preferably, the cover 1 is snapped onto the hoop 3. To do so, in the present case the insert 6 comprises an internal projection 21 capable of snapping into a groove 23 provided for this purpose on the outer wall of the hoop 3. The reverse could have been envisaged, namely the snapping of a projection provided on the external wall of the hoop 3 into a groove provided in the internal wall of the insert 6. Any other fastening means between these two cylindrical parts 3, 6 can be envisaged within the scope of the present invention.

In figure 3, we see the cover 1 snapped onto the hoop 3.

In this figure, the decorative element 5 circles the base 4 and is locked on the base 4 by the insert 6, the insert 6 being snapped into the hoop 3.

The hoop 3 comprises an upper part which is fitted inside the insert 6, and a lower part which unfolds under the insert, therefore a fortiori under the cover 1. In this case, this lower part has a annular extra thickness which extends over the outer circumference. The difference in thickness between the upper part and the lower part of the ring creates an abutment against which the cover would come into contact if the latching failed. Figure 5 illustrates the base 4 of the cover 1, in sectional view. The base 4 therefore comprises this truncated zone 15 in the lower part, for its mounting on the hoop 3 of the bottle. At this truncated zone 15, the base 4 comprises an orifice 10 which defines an inner wall 14. This orifice 10 comprises a main part which makes it possible to accommodate the insert 6 of the cover 1, as well as the upper part of the hoop 3 of the vial. This orifice 10 also comprises a secondary part 10a, of reduced diameter, located deeper in the base 4. This secondary part 10a makes it possible to accommodate the dispensing head, in this case the push-button fitted with the spray nozzle. Port 10 is cylindrical.

The inner wall 14 of the orifice 10 comprises an annular groove 12, located in the main part, and which makes it possible to cooperate with at least one protuberance 20 provided on the outer wall of the insert 6 (see FIG. 2). Preferably, the insert 6 comprises several protrusions 20 distributed regularly over its circumference. These protrusions 20 are capable of penetrating inside the groove 12 so as to cause interlocking between the insert 6 and the base 4. These protrusions 20 and this groove 12 thus constitute means for fixing the insert 6 in hole 10 of base 4.

Alternatively, it would have been possible to provide projecting protuberances from the internal wall 14 of the orifice 10 of the base 4, capable of penetrating inside an annular groove provided on the external wall of the insert 6.

As is clearly visible in FIG. 5, the internal wall 14 of the orifice 10 also comprises the housings 11 accommodating the said hooks 7. Each housing 11 is located at the level of the peripheral rim of the base 4, delimiting the orifice 10 at the level of the truncated area 15.

When there are two housings 11, they are preferably diametrically opposed. It is possible to provide a large number of hooks 7, and therefore of housings 11.

Each housing 11 has a notch 11b passing through the base from its outer wall 9 to its inner wall 14. This notch 11b opens into the truncated zone 15. It is slot-shaped in the example shown. This notch 11b receives the hook 7. The bottom wall 26 of the notch can be oriented perpendicular to the outer wall 9, as in Figure 6, or can be inclined with respect to the outer wall 9, as in Figure 12 This bottom wall 26 has an edge 18 oriented towards the inside of the orifice 10 of the base 4. This edge 18 is particularly well illustrated in FIG.

Each housing 11 also includes an interior recess 11a formed in the interior wall 14 of the base 4 taking shape in the extension of said notch 11b, said interior recess 11a receiving a free end 27 of the hook 7. This interior recess 11a is therefore hollowed out at level of the inner wall 14 of the base 4, as illustrated in figure 7.

Optionally the outer wall 9 of the base 4 has an outer recess 30 accommodating one end of the central part 31 of the decorative element 5 and opening into said notch 11b. Thus the decorative element 5 seems to be embedded in the base 4 at the level of this outer recess 30.

This outer recess 30 can extend all around the base 4, as illustrated in figure 12, to accommodate the entire central part 31 of the decorative element 5.

The outer wall of the decorative element 5 can for example be positioned flush with the outer wall 9 of the base 4.

This outer recess 30 then connects the two housings 11.

Figure 8 shows more precisely the hook 7. It consists of a curved part, forming a U at the end of the decorative element 5. The hook 7 has an inner face 17 located vis-à-vis said edge 18 of the housing 11 when the hook 7 is mounted in the housing 11. The hook 7 also has a shoulder 16 whose function will be explained later in the description. This shoulder 16 is directed towards the inside of the orifice 10 of the base 4 when the hook 7 is in position in the base 4. This shoulder 16 is formed on an outer face of the hook 7 opposite to said inner face 17.

Downstream of the inner face 17 and the shoulder 16, is the free end 27 of the hook 7. This free end 27 is almost perpendicular to the inner face 17, and is inserted inside the inner recess 11a of the housing 11, while the rest of the hook 7 is housed in the notch 11b. The free end 27 is dimensioned so as not to protrude from the internal recess 11a when it is in place in the housing 11. The internal side 29 of the free end 27 is opposite the bottom wall 28 of the inner recess 11a.

And finally, the insert 6 comprises a locking ring 19 at the level of its lower part located at the level of the junction zone between the hook 7 and the base 4, and which is located at the level of the truncated zone 15 of the base 4 when the insert is mounted in the base. This locking ring 19 develops towards the outside of the insert 6, at its lower end. In the present case, this rod 19 is annular but it could be divided into several sections distributed regularly around the insert 6. The objective is to have at least two sections located at the level of the two zones of contact with the two hooks 7. The advantage of the annular ring 19 is to avoid having to index the insert 6 with respect to the base 4.

In FIG. 4, at the end of insertion of the insert 6 into the orifice 10 of the base 4, the protrusions 20 of the insert 6 enter the groove 12 of the base 4 for snap-fastening, and the ring 19 of the insert 6 bears against the shoulder 16 of the hook 7 so as to block the hook 7 in its housing 11. The inner face 17 of the hook 7 then bears against the edge 18 of the housing 11. free end 27 of hook 7 located above shoulder 16 and downstream of inner face 17 thus finds itself imprisoned in inner zone 11a of housing 11 and can no longer come out of it as long as insert 6 is in place in the base 4. The decorative element 5 is then locked in the base 4.

Figure 9 precisely illustrates the hook 7 inserted into the housing 11, with the contact between the inner face 17 and the edge 18. It will be noted that the inner wall 14 of the base 4 also includes a shoulder 13 which is located in the continuity of the shoulder 16 of the hook 7, and against which the annular ring 19 of the insert 6 also comes into contact. Thus, the annular ring 19 of the insert 6 is in contact both with the shoulder 13 of the internal wall 14 of the base 4, and also with the shoulders 16 of the two hooks 7.

It will also be noted that the decorative element 5 has two fins 25 developing laterally on either side of the central part 31 in the vicinity of each hook 7. These fins 25 are able to come into contact with the outer wall 9 of the base 4 during the insertion of the hook 7 in the housing 11, so as to limit the movement of the hook 7 towards the inside of the base 4. Indeed if the hook 7 went too far into the orifice 10 of the base 4, it would block the passage of the insert 6 in the orifice 10.

Figures 10 and 11 show a system for indexing the decorative element 5 on the base 4. Indeed, the decorative element 5 must be suitably oriented relative to the asymmetrical base 4, which requires the presence of a polarizer on the decorative element 5 and/or on the base 4.

In this case, the decorative element 5 comprises a central part 31 having at least one section 8 with an extra thickness, as illustrated in figure 11.

This thickened section 8 matches a groove 24 provided for this purpose in the outer wall 9 of the base 4, as illustrated in FIG. 10. The length of the thickened section 8 is equal to the length of the groove 24 so that the decorative element 5 is positioned in exactly the right place on the base 4. The thickened section 8 and the groove 24 are configured so that there is only one mounting combination possible and the decorative element 5 cannot be mounted upside down.

In the present case, the central part of the decorative element 5 is divided into two arches, each arch having a thickened section 8a and 8b. Similarly, the base 4 has two grooves 24a and 24b, each groove 24 receiving a thickened section 8. One groove 24b has a greater length than the other 24a. In the same way an arch 8b has a thickened section 8b longer than that 8a of the other arch. In this way, there is only one possible mounting combination, the longest thickened section 8b going into the longest groove 24b and the shortest thickened section 8a going into the shortest groove 24a.

The decorative element could take any other form in the context of the present invention, as long as it partially circles the base and has a hook at each end. There can be an odd number of ends.

According to a second configuration illustrated in Figures 12 and 13, said indexing system consists of an extra thickness of a section 32 of the outer recess 30 of the base 4, capable of penetrating into a groove 33 made in the decorative element 5, said section 32 having a length equal to the length of the groove 33. More precisely, the section 32 develops along the outer recess 30 on a lateral side, inside the recess 30. The groove 33 for its part develops also along a section of the central part 31 of the decorative element 5.

The configurations shown in the figures cited are only possible examples, in no way limiting, of the invention which, on the contrary, encompasses the variants of shapes and designs within the reach of those skilled in the art.

Claims (18)

Removable cap (1) for dispensing bottle of a fluid product comprising:
- a base (4) having an outer wall (9);
- a decorative element (5) which circles at least partly the outer wall (9) of the base (4);
the base (4) and the decorative element (5) being fixed to each other by interlocking of corresponding shapes, said cover (1) being characterized in that it comprises means for locking the interlocking of said corresponding forms. Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the said locking means consist of an insert (6) secured to the base (4) and resting against the corresponding shape belonging to the decorative element (5). Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the decorative element (5) has at least one hook (7) and the base (4) has at least one housing (11) receiving the said hook (7), the housing (11) and the hook (7) constituting said corresponding shapes. Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the insert (6) comprises a locking ring (19) arranged to bear against the hook (7) when the insert (6) is mounted in the base (4), the hook (7) being clamped between the base (4) and the insert (6). Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the said hook (7) comprises a shoulder (16) against which the locking ring (19) of the insert (6) comes to rest. Cover (1) according to one of Claims 3 to 5, characterized in that the base (4) comprises an orifice (10) defining an internal wall (14). Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the housing (11) of the base (4) comprises a notch (11b) passing through the base (4) from its outer wall (9) to its inner wall ( 14), said notch (11b) receiving said hook (7). Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the housing (11) of the base (4) comprises an internal recess (11a) formed in the internal wall (14) of the base (4) taking shape in the extension of said notch (11b), said inner recess (11a) receiving a free end (27) of the hook (7). Hood (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the outer wall (9) of the base (4) has an outer recess 30 accommodating a central part (8) of the decorative element (5) and opening into the said notch (11b). Cover (1) according to one of Claims 6 to 9, characterized in that the insert (6) is housed in the said orifice (10) of the base (4). Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the decorative element (5) comprises two ends each provided with a hook (7), the said base (4) comprising two housings (11) to receive the two hooks ( 7), said housings (11) being diametrically opposed at the level of the orifice (10). Hood (1) according to the preceding claim, when it depends on claim 9, characterized in that the outer recess 30 connects the two housings (11). Cover (1) according to one of Claims 10 to 12, characterized in that it comprises means for fixing the insert (6) in the orifice (10) of the base (4). Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the said fixing means consist of a fitting of a protuberance (20) provided on the insert (6), or respectively on the inner wall (14) of the base ( 4), in a groove (12) provided for this purpose in the inner wall (14) of the base (4), or respectively in the insert (6). Cover (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a system for indexing the decorative element (5) on the base (4). Cover (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the said indexing system consists of an extra thickness of a section (8) of the decorative element (5), or respectively of a section (32) of the base (4), capable of penetrating into a groove (24) made in the outer wall (9) of the base (4), or respectively into a groove (33) of the decorative element (5), the length of the section ( 8, 32) being equal to the length of the groove (24, 33). - a tank (2) able to store the product,
- a product distribution system,
- a system for fixing the distribution system on the tank (2),
- and a cover (1) according to one of the preceding claims, closing the distribution system,
characterized in that the fixing system comprises a hoop (3) on which the cover (1) is positioned. Method of assembling a removable cover (1) for a bottle for dispensing a fluid product, said cover (1) comprising a base (4), a decorative element (5) and an insert (6), characterized in that that it includes the following steps:
- surround the base (4) with the decorative element (5);
- fixing the decorative element (5) to the base (4) by interlocking corresponding shapes;
- insert the insert (6) inside an orifice (10) provided for this purpose in the base (4) until the insert (6) snaps into the base (4) with simultaneous pressure of the insert (6) against the decorative element (5) for locking the interlocking of the corresponding shapes.
