Abstract

Description

Woven bag to reduce the number of seams

The invention relates to the field of flexible containers, in particular the field of woven bags. The gradual reduction in the use of single-use plastic bags has led to an increasing use of reusable woven bags, in particular bags referred to as tote bags.

However, the use of woven bags is still limited by their manufacturing cost. Indeed, the cost price of a woven bag is not only influenced by the cost of the weaving yarns and the operating cycles of the weaving machines. The manufacture of a woven bag generally includes sewing steps to join together several layers and delimit a storage volume. In addition, the formation of hems is used to prevent threads from separating at the ends of the bag layers. Such operations have a significant impact on the cost price of the bag.

The invention aims to solve one or more of these drawbacks. The invention thus relates to a flexible container including a weaving of so-called warp yarns oriented in a first direction and so-called weft yarns oriented in a second direction, the weaving of yarns comprising:
-first and second ends in the first direction;
-third and fourth ends in the second direction;
-a middle part arranged between the first and second ends on the one hand and arranged between the third and fourth ends on the other hand, the middle part comprising first and second layers superimposed so as to delimit a storage space, the first layer comprising a first group of warp yarns woven with weft yarns, the second ply comprising a second group of warp yarns woven with weft yarns;
the first end closing off the storage space by weaving warp threads of the first and second groups with weft threads into a third ply;
the second end closing off the storage space by weaving warp threads of the first and second groups with weft threads into a fourth ply;
the third end closing off the storage space by weaving into a fifth layer of warp threads with the weft threads of the first and second layers;
-the fourth end comprising respective extensions of the first and second layers between which an access opening to the storage space is provided, warp yarns forming an anti-slip armor with the weft yarns in said extensions of the first and second tablecloths.

The invention also relates to the following variants. Those skilled in the art will understand that each of the characteristics of the following variants can be combined independently with the characteristics above, without however constituting an intermediate generalization.

According to a variant, said anti-slip armor is of the type having a gauze pitch.

According to another variant, the warp yarns of the weave of the type having a leno pitch are reinforced with respect to the warp yarns of the first and second layers.

According to yet another variant, the fifth ply comprises warp yarns forming an anti-slip armor with weft yarns.

According to yet another variant, the weaving in one of the first to third ends forms a pattern of alphanumeric characters.

According to a variant, the weaving of the first ply forms a decorative pattern.

According to yet another variant, the weaving of the first ply forms a false hem pattern.

According to another variant, the container comprises a handle sewn to the first layer.

According to yet another variant, the weaving of the first ply forms a line contrasting with the rest of the weaving of the first ply, said handle being sewn at the level of this line.

According to yet another variant, the first layer has no hem.

Figure 1 is a top view and Figure 2 is a side view of an example of flexible container 1 according to an example of implementation of the invention, here in the form of a bag 1. The bag 1 includes a weaving 2 of so-called warp yarns oriented in the X direction and weft yarns oriented in the Y direction. advantageous for the manufacture of a bag 1 according to the invention.

The top view makes it possible to delimit the weaving 2 in different zones, the delimitation between the different zones being here identified in dotted lines: ends or lateral edges 21 and 22 opposite in direction X, ends or longitudinal edges 23 and 24 opposite in the Y direction, and a middle part 20. The middle part 20 is arranged between the ends 21 and 22 on the one hand, and between the ends 23 and 24 on the other hand.

The middle part 20 comprises two layers 201 and 202 superimposed, so as to delimit a storage space accessible by an access opening 25, provided at the level of the end 24. The layer 201 comprises a first group of warp yarns woven with weft threads. The web 202 comprises a second group of warp threads woven with weft threads.

The storage space is furthermore delimited by the weaving 2 at the ends 21, 22 and 23. The end 21 in particular closes off the storage space by weaving the warp threads of the first and second groups of the middle part 20 with weft threads to form a tablecloth. The end 21 therefore corresponds to a union by weaving of the layers 201 and 202. The end 21 therefore closes off the storage space without having to resort to an added seam. The end 22 closes off the storage space by weaving the warp threads of the first and second groups of the middle part 20 with weft threads to form a sheet. The end 22 therefore corresponds to a union by weaving of the sheets 201 and 202. The end 22 therefore closes off the storage space without having to resort to an added seam. The end 23 closes off the storage space by weaving warp threads with the weft threads of the sheets 201 and 202 of the middle part 20 to form a sheet. The end 23 therefore corresponds to a union by weaving of the layers 201 and 202. The end 23 therefore closes off the storage space without having to resort to an added seam.

The end 24 of the weaving 2 comprises respective extensions of the plies 201 and 202. The access opening 25 is made between the respective extensions of the plies 201 and 202. At the level of the end 24, in the respective extensions of the plies 201 and 202, warp threads (or threads added to the warp, called coil threads, oriented like the warp threads) form an anti-slip armor with the weft threads of the layers 201 and 202. An overrun of the threads of frame at the end 24 is here schematically illustrated. Thus, warp threads are prevented from separating from the weaving 2, and this without having to resort to the formation of a hem at the level of the end 24. Such anti-slip weaves can be produced by weaving in each extension of the sheets 201 and 202 using the same weaving machine (for example a Jacquard-type machine). The manufacturing cost of the bag 1 can in practice be significantly reduced.

In particular, a leno-pitch type anti-slip weave may be used at end 24. Examples of such a weave weave are illustrated in Figures 9 and 10.

Advantageously, the sheet formed at the end 23 also comprises warp threads forming an anti-slip weave with weft threads. Such an anti-slip weave weave can also be of the type having a leno pitch. It is therefore also possible to avoid a hem or an additional seam at the level of the end 23. An overrun of the weft threads at the level of the end 23 is here schematically illustrated.

Figure 3 is a top view of another bag variant 1 according to the invention. In this variant, the weaving of the web 201 makes it possible to form a line contrasting with the rest of its weaving. Here, the weaving of the sheet 201 makes it possible more precisely to form lines in contrast, according to patterns of rectangles 31 and 32. Although not illustrated, similar patterns can be woven into the sheet 202. Such patterns allow for example to identify locations for sewing a handle. The attachment of the handle being facilitated, the cost of making the bag 1 can be reduced. The variant of Figure 4 illustrates an example in which a handle 33 has been attached by stitching to the sheet 201 at the level of the patterns 31 and 32. The bag 1 according to the variants of Figures 3 and 4 also includes all of the other technical characteristics of the bag of Figures 1 and 2. A handle similar to the handle 33 can also be fixed by sewing to the sheet 202, at the level of similar patterns of the sheet 202.

Figure 5 is a top view of another bag variant 1 according to the invention. The bag 1 according to the variant of Figure 5 incorporates all the technical characteristics of the bag of Figures 1 and 2. In this case, a line 34 is formed by weaving to contrast in particular with the rest of the weaving of the web 201 Such a line 34, formed near the end 24, makes it possible to form a false hem, that is to say the appearance of an added hem seam, whereas it is only a question of of a local weaving variant between trailing threads and weft threads. A similar line can of course be formed by weaving also at the web 202.

Figure 6 is a top view of another bag variant 1 according to the invention. The bag 1 according to the variant of Figure 6 incorporates all the technical characteristics of the bag of Figures 1 and 2. In this case, the weaving of the sheet 201 forms a decorative pattern 35. The decorative pattern 35 is typically produced by a weaving contrasting with the basic weaving pattern of the web 201. Such a pattern 35 is thus obtained with the same weaving machine, without requiring an additional manufacturing step such as printing.

Figure 7 is a top view of another bag variant 1 according to the invention. The bag 1 according to the variant of Figure 7 incorporates all the technical characteristics of the bag of Figures 1 and 2. In this case, the weaving of the sheet at the level of the end 21 forms a pattern 36 of alphanumeric characters, sometimes referred to as the talking edge. The alphanumeric characters are typically produced by a contrasting weave with the base weave pattern of the web at the end 21. therefore to avoid a manual recovery to reduce the cost of making.

The variants of FIGS. 3 to 7 can in particular be obtained by weaving of the Jacquard type. The singularities presented for each of the variants of FIGS. 3 to 7 can of course be combined with each other.

Figure 8 illustrates a plain-type weave weave. The warp threads 51 to 58 extend from top to bottom without intersecting. Warp threads 51, 53, 55 and 57 pass over weft threads 41, 43, 45, 47 and 49 and under weft threads 42, 44, 46 and 48. Warp threads 52, 54, 56 and 58 pass under weft threads 41, 43, 45, 47 and 49 and over weft threads 42, 44, 46 and 48.

Figures 9 and 10 illustrate examples of anti-slip weaving armor that can be produced by weaving in each extension of the layers 201 and 202.

The example in figure 9 is illustrated with warp yarns 51 to 56 and weft yarns 41 to 46. From top to bottom, the warp yarn 51 passes above and crosses the warp yarn 52. The yarn of warp 51 passes under the weft thread 41 and the warp thread 52 passes over the weft thread 41. The warp threads 51 and 52 extend without crossing up to the weft thread 43. The warp thread 52 passes under the weft thread 42 and the warp thread 51 passes over the weft thread 42. The warp thread 51 passes under the weft thread 43 and the warp thread 52 passes over the weft thread 43. The warp thread 51 passes over and crosses the warp thread 52. The warp thread 51 passes under the weft thread 44 and the warp thread 52 passes over the weft thread 44. The warp threads 51 and 52 extend without cross over to weft yarn 46. Warp yarn 52 passes under weft yarn 45 and warp yarn 51 passes over weft yarn 45. Warp yarn 51 passes under weft yarn 46 and warp thread 52 passes over weft thread 46. Warp thread 51 passes over and crosses warp thread 52.

The weave weave of yarns 53 and 54 with yarns 41 to 46 is identical to that of yarns 51 and 52. Similarly, the weave weave of yarns 55 and 56 with yarns 41 to 46 is identical to that of sons 51 and 52.

The example in figure 10 is illustrated with warp yarns 51 to 56 and weft yarns 41 to 46. From top to bottom, the warp yarn 51 passes above and crosses the warp yarn 52. The yarn of warp 51 passes under the weft thread 41 and the warp thread 52 passes over the weft thread 41. The warp thread 51 passes above and crosses the warp thread 52. The warp thread 51 passes under the thread 42 and the warp yarn 52 passes over the weft yarn 42. The warp yarn 51 passes over and crosses the warp yarn 52. The warp yarn 51 passes under the weft yarn 43 and the warp 52 passes over weft yarn 43. Warp yarn 51 passes over and crosses warp yarn 52. Warp yarn 51 passes under weft yarn 44 and warp yarn 52 passes over weft 44. The warp yarn 51 passes over and crosses the warp yarn 52. The weave weave of yarns 53 and 54 with yarns 41 to 46 is identical to that of yarns 51 and 52. Similarly, the weave weave of yarns 55 and 56 with yarns 41 to 46 is identical to that of sons 51 and 52.

To promote resistance at the level of the anti-slip armor, the warp threads used at the level of this armor can be stronger and/or thicker than those of the layers 201 and 202.

Claims (10)

Flexible container (1) including a weaving (2) of so-called warp yarns oriented in a first direction (X) and of so-called weft yarns oriented in a second direction (Y), the weaving (20) of yarns comprising:
-first and second ends (21,22) in the first direction;
-third and fourth ends (23,24) in the second direction;
-a middle part (20) arranged between the first and second ends on the one hand and arranged between the third and fourth ends on the other hand, the middle part (20) comprising first and second layers (201,202) superimposed so as to delimiting a storage space, the first sheet (201) comprising a first group of warp yarns woven with weft yarns, the second sheet (202) comprising a second group of warp yarns woven with weft yarns;
characterized in that
-the first end (21) closes off the storage space by weaving warp threads of the first and second groups with weft threads into a third layer;
the second end (22) closes off the storage space by weaving warp threads of the first and second groups with weft threads into a fourth layer;
-the third end (23) closes off the storage space by weaving into a fifth layer of warp threads with the weft threads of the first and second layers (201,202);
-the fourth end (24) comprises respective extensions of the first and second plies (201, 202) between which an access opening (25) to the storage space is formed, warp threads forming an anti-slip armor with the weft yarns in said extensions of the first and second layers (201,202). A flexible container (1) according to claim 1, wherein said anti-slip weave is of the type having a leno pitch. A flexible container (1) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the warp yarns of the leno pitch type weave are reinforced relative to the warp yarns of the first and second ply. Flexible container (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the fifth layer comprises warp threads forming an anti-slip armor with weft threads. A flexible container (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein the weave in one of the first to third ends forms a pattern of alphanumeric characters. A flexible container (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein the weave of the first web (201) forms a decorative pattern. A flexible container (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein the weave of the first web (201) forms a false hemming pattern. Flexible container (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a handle (31) sewn to the first layer (201). A flexible container (1) according to claim 8, wherein the weave of the first ply (201) forms a contrasting line with the rest of the weave of the first ply, said handle (33) being sewn at this line. Flexible container (1) according to any one of Claims 1 to 7, in which the first ply is devoid of a hem.
