Le véhicule électrique est pourvu d’au moins un premier circuit de refroidissement du moteur électrique qui comprend une première pompe et d’un deuxième circuit de refroidissement de la batterie qui comprend une deuxième pompe et qui est associé à une boucle de climatisation comprenant au moins un compresseur. Le procédé de refroidissement (100) comprend un mode post-refroidissement (103) qui est activé après l’un quelconque d’un mode roulage du véhicule automobile (102), d’un mode de recharge batterie (104) et d’un mode pré-conditionnement thermique d’un habitacle (105), le mode post-refroidissement (103) comprenant une première phase (201) de surveillance de températures respectives des éléments par rapport à des températures-seuils.
