FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to devices comprising a cup and associated accessories, in particular devices comprising a cup and an accessory to be used with the cup, more particularly, but not exclusively, a cup arranged for the supply and/or transport of a stirrer accessory.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

More and more people in many societies like to drink beverages such as hot tea, due to the growing awareness of the health benefits and other similar factors compared to other beverages containing hot tea. alcohol or carbonation.

In order to effectively enjoy tea or other similar brewed beverages, an additional accessory may often be required, such as a spoon or stirrer to ensure that any dissolved sugar is dispersed, and any undissolved sugar is broken down.

Having a separate stirrer or spoon can be problematic as it gets wet or dirty and therefore can be difficult to store, dispose of or keep nearby.

PRIOR ART

CN 107713596 (CHEN) teaches a coffee cup capable of containing a spoon. A handle of the coffee cup is provided with a groove, said groove being arranged so as to place a spoon. Thus, after stirring the coffee, the user drinks said coffee and can place the spoon on the groove, thus preventing the coffee stains from running everywhere.

Document WO 2017 111 762 (BADR) is known describing a drink straw holder comprising a base and a support element, both equipped with a strip of paper and connected to each other at one end. An opening for inserting a drinking straw is formed in the communicating region. The handle includes means for fixing the second end of said support element relative to the base. The base and the support element include a free part extending from the limit of the connection region to the limit of the region where the second end of the support element is fixed to the base. The length of the free part of the support element is 1.2 - 1.5 times longer than the length of the free part of the base, allowing the mounting of the connection area in a position allowing the user to use the drinking straw comfortably when this drinking straw is inserted into the opening.

US 2,590,286 (WIRTANEN) discloses a spoon holder comprising: a bar suitable for mounting on the rims of a bowl, or the like; a pair of arms spaced apart as a function of the bar to define a hollow between them, and able to be fixed on the rims of said bowl, with one of the legs against the interior surface of the wall of the bowl and the other against the surface outside of the bowl wall; the internally disposed tenon having an extension projecting forwards and substantially horizontal with respect thereto; the extension having a notch on its inner face, adapted to receive a spoon handle, the bar then comprising a handle extending outwardly beyond the externally arranged legs.

The present invention aims to overcome the problems encountered by existing devices.

According to a general definition of the invention, the device has a cup with a wall and a handle comprising a clamp configured to provide an elastic closure for securing an elongated article, the clamp being configured to extend along an inner face of the wall of the cup, and an elongated article adapted to allow the agitation of liquid.

The clamp can be placed on the edge of the cup by a fixing mechanism.

In some cases, the wall of the cup may be perforated so that the clamp mechanism can pass, in part or in whole, through the perforation in the wall of the cup.

In some cases, the clamp mechanism may pass through said perforation and extend above the top edge of the cup to form a more secure securing mechanism.

In some cases, the puncture is near the handle. For example, the perforation is arranged above the handle on the outer face of the rim of the cup.

In practice, the clamp may comprise one or more arms capable of being moved, deformed or bent, so as to allow the fixing of the rod. In this way, said rod can be held in place on the inner edge of the cup. The device can then include a practical location for said rod, or for any accessory to be moved and fixed.

According to an embodiment in accordance with the invention, the cup is made of a material belonging to the group formed by ceramic, porcelain, metal, metal alloy, thermoplastics, cardboard or similar materials.

By way of non-limiting example, the stirrer belongs to the group formed by a spoon, straw or other similar accessory of elongated shape. Said accessory can be formed from a rigid material such as a metal or metal alloy.

According to an embodiment in accordance with the invention, the clamp is capable of extending from the outer face of the wall of the cup towards its inner face, according to a location substantially analogous to the place where the handle of the cup is positioned.

In practice, the stirrer is not likely to interfere with the use of the cup by the user, in particular the handle. The stirrer or stem is also not likely to come into contact with the user's face while the device is being used for drinking.

By way of example in accordance with the invention, the device comprises an article of the stirrer type with an elongated rod, capable of being fixed on the clamp. The article has a first end or head adapted to be manipulated by the user, and a second end or base, which is adapted to be submerged and used to stir the contents of the cup.

In some embodiments, the length of the stirrer can be considered such that when the stirrer is attached to the clamp, the stem of the stirrer extends above the rim of the cup.

The stirrer includes, without limitation, a rod, a rod with a particular base capable of improving agitation, a rod with a head capable of facilitating use by the user, a rod with a base and a particular head.

The agitator can comprise a rod with a first end called the head, configured for the manipulation or the engagement/disengagement of the said rod in the clamp, and a second end called the base, configured for the agitation of the contents of the cup. The first end may for example comprise a protuberance, said protuberance possibly being of spherical shape.

According to an embodiment in accordance with the invention, the upper comprises a textured section, said section possibly comprising a succession of depressions or protruding parts, forming a gripping texture for the user's thumb to engage. The base may be configured to provide a means of agitation and may also include a means of crushing. The base of the agitator may include crushing means, which may provide a fulcrum configured to push or pierce a sugar cube against the wall of the cup.

In practice, the means of agitation of the base of the agitator can comprise multiple perforations, so as to allow the passage of the fluid during agitation. By way of example, the stirring means may comprise several spaced elements.

According to an embodiment in accordance with the invention, the clamp is positioned above or aligned with the handle of the cup.

Advantageously, when in use, the user's hand or fingers passing through the handle, the thumb of the user's hand is positioned above the handle, making it easier and more comfortable to have access to the agitator head.

In certain embodiments, the crushing means may consist of a second end or pointed base. Advantageously, said pointed end is configured so that the stirrer is able to pivot from the anchoring point formed by the clamp, as the first end is pushed or pulled, the sugar cube can be crushed.

Advantageously, the stirrer is easier to move, as well as to replace vis-à-vis the clamp.

The device includes a clamp attachment system arranged to facilitate the presentation of information or brand image. The presentation is effected without limitation by plating, coating, printing, or stamping, and is positioned near the handle, or on one side of the cup. The position of the clamp does not interfere with the presentation of information.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, the apparatus may comprise a cup fitted with a clamp and the agitator may be provided independently.

Referring to Figures 1 to 4 , the device 99 comprises a cup 5 with a wall 10 and a handle 4, as well as a clamp 3 configured to allow the elastic fixing of an elongate element or agitator 2.

The elongated element or agitator 2 comprises a rod 14 capable of serving as a means of agitation, said clamp 3 being configured to project transversely from the inner face of the wall 10 and fix the agitator 2.

According to a particular embodiment in accordance with the invention, the device 99 comprises a painted ceramic cup 5, with a regular and inclined wall 10, and a handle 4 integrated into the wall 10. The handle 4 is vertically fixed on the side of said wall 10 at the top near the upper edge 1 of the cup 5 and at the bottom near the circular base 6 of the cup 5.

The wall 10 of the cup 5 comprises a perforation 21 disposed directly above the handle 4, and capable of allowing the insertion of the clamp 3, said means for fixing the clamp 3 passing through the wall 10 so that the clamp 3 is advantageously arranged superiorly and aligned with respect to the handle 4, protruding into the cup 5.

According to an embodiment in accordance with the invention, the stirrer 2 fixed to the clamp 3 projects longitudinally with respect to the internal part of the wall 1 of the cup 5. The stirrer 2 also projects above said wall 1 of the cup 5, as shown in Figure 1. Advantageously, this configuration makes it possible to bring the first end or head 16 closer to the stirrer 2, the handle 4 and the user's hand when use of device 99.

The stirrer 2 comprises an elongated cylindrical rod 14 having two distal ends 12,16. The stirrer 2 is entirely formed in a material belonging to the group formed by stainless steel, or the like.
