Abstract
La présente invention concerne une méthode d’estimation de distance entre nœuds d’un réseau LPWA. Un premier nœud (resp. un second nœud) émet une séquence de symboles pilotes au moyen de signaux à bande étroite successivement sur une pluralité de fréquences porteuses (410). Le second (resp. le premier) nœud reçoit les signaux émis et les démodule en bande de base puis les corrèle avec la séquence émise (420). Des valeurs complexes représentatives d’une fonction de transfert aller-retour du canal de transmission entre les deux nœuds sont obtenues (430,440) puis soumises à une IDFT pour fournir une réponse impulsionnelle aller-retour (450) du canal. On détermine alors une fenêtre temporelle se terminant en un temps caractéristique de la distribution temporelle de la réponse impulsionnelle aller-retour (460,470) et l’on recherche au sein de cette fenêtre temporelle le premier instant où un seuil prédéterminé est franchi par l’amplitude de ladite réponse impulsionnelle (480) pour obtenir une estimation de la distance entre les deux nœuds (490). Optionnellement, la méthode fournit une métrique de confiance de l’estimation de distance obtenue. L’invention concerne enfin une méthode d’estimation de position d’un nœud utilisant la méthode d’estimation de distance précitée. Figure pour l’abrégé : Fig. 4.
