Abstract

L’invention propose un moteur à chambre active (CA) comportant un cylindre (1) alimenté par de l'air comprimé, un piston (2), une culasse (6) qui comporte un conduit d'admission (8), un orifice d'admission (7), une soupape d'admission (9), dans lequel le volume du cylindre (1) est divisé en une chambre active (CA) incluse et une chambre de détente (CD) et le couple et le régime du moteur sont commandés par l'ouverture et la fermeture de la soupape d'admission (9), caractérisé en ce que, dans le sens de son ouverture, la soupape d'admission (9) se déplace dans le sens opposé à celui de l’écoulement du flux de gaz sous pression et, dans sa position de fermeture, elle est maintenue fermée sur un siège (20) par un ressort (13) de rappel, et en ce que les efforts axiaux s’exerçant sur la soupape d’admission (9) qui résultent de la pression régnant dans le conduit d’admission (8) et dans le cylindre (1) sont en permanence équilibrés.
