Le dispositif de surveillance comprend un module de mesure (20) configuré pour mesurer au moins une grandeur électrique en un point de mesure (18) du réseau de distribution (6), un module de calcul (24) configuré pour déterminer la valeur d’au moins un paramètre du courant électrique fourni à l’aéronef (2) par le réseau de distribution (6) à partir de la ou des grandeur(s) électrique(s) mesurée(s), et un module de commande (26) configuré pour commander un équipement de transformation de courant du réseau de distribution (6) de manière à couper la distribution du courant électrique si au moins un critère de surveillance est vérifié par la(les) valeurs de paramètre déterminée(s).
