L’invention concerne un procédé de réalisation d’une couche lourde (1) et étanche pour un écran (2) de protection acoustique pour véhicule automobile, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : réaliser une feuille (4) à base de polyvinyle butyral (PVB), placer ladite feuille dans un moule d’injection, l’espace restant disponible formant une cavité de moulage, injecter dans ladite cavité une composition à base de PVB pour réaliser une sous-couche (5) de renfort massique surmoulant partiellement ladite feuille sur une de ses faces de manière à définir : au moins une zone de protection acoustique accentuée (6) pourvue de ladite sous-couche, et au moins une zone de protection acoustique minimale (7) dépourvue de ladite sous-couche.
