Dispositif de protection pour un véhicule automobile, le dispositif comprenant une traverse avant Dispositif de protection (2) pour un véhicule (1) automobile, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une traverse (10) destinée à être positionnée à l'avant d'un véhicule, et s'étendant selon un axe (Y1) destiné à être orienté parallèlement à un axe transversal (Y) d'un véhicule, la traverse comprenant une extrémité latérale (11), le dispositif de protection comprenant un sabot (20) fixé à la traverse, le sabot comprenant une portion (22) recouvrant au moins partiellement l'extrémité latérale de la traverse, ladite portion du sabot comprenant une surface d'échappement (23) destinée à être orientée vers l'arrière et vers l'extérieur d'un véhicule.
