Le filtre à air (1) pour véhicule comporte un corps externe (4a) logeant un élément filtrant (2) et un couvercle (4b) coiffant le corps. L’élément filtrant inclut une grille (10a) à laquelle une couche de média (MF) est attachée, en délimitant dans le volume intérieur (V) du boîtier une zone d’amont et une zone d’aval. La structure (10), optionnellement plane, a des extensions avec des organes de fixation (21a, 21b, 6) qui permettent à la structure de :- faire la liaison entre le couvercle (4b) et un fond (40) ou une partie proche du fond dans le composant de boîtier, en s’opposant à leur écartement, des organes de fixation (21a, 21b) venant en prise sur le composant dans une zone de fixation éloignée du couvercle, après insertion de ces organes (21a, 21b) au travers de l’ouverture (42) du corps ; et- verrouiller en position fermée le couvercle (4b).
