Abstract

L'invention a trait à ilot d'assemblage (2) d'ouvrants de véhicule automobile, comprenant plusieurs plateaux tournants (4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4) comprenant, chacun, plusieurs zones de réception (6) de pièces (8) des ouvrants ; des robots d'assemblage (14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4) adjacents aux plateaux tournants, configurés pour réaliser des opérations d'assemblage des pièces sur lesdits plateaux. L'ilot comprend, en outre des robots de manutention (16.1, 16.2, 16.3, 16.4) disposés et configurés pour transférer les pièces assemblées d'un plateau tournant à un autre, de manière à ce que l'assemblage de chaque ouvrant comprend les opérations d'assemblage sur plusieurs des plateaux tournants (4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4). L'invention a également trait à un procédé d'assemblage d'ouvrants de véhicule comprenant l'utilisation de l'ilot de l'invention.
