L'invention concerne un mécanisme d'embrayage (1), notamment pour véhicule automobile, comportant un couvercle, un plateau de pression (2) mobile par rapport au couvercle selon un axe du mécanisme (1), et destiné à coopérer avec un disque de friction, un diaphragme (10) mobile entre une position embrayée et une position débrayée, apte à actionner le déplacement du plateau de pression (2), des moyens de rattrapage d'usure intercalés axialement entre le diaphragme (10) et le plateau de pression (2), lesdits moyens de rattrapage comportant des moyens à rampe (14, 13) coopérant avec des moyens à contre-rampe (2, 12) de façon à ce que la rotation des moyens à rampe (14, 13) par rapport aux moyens à contre-rampe (2, 12) modifie la distance entre le diaphragme (10) et le plateau de pression (2), et des moyens d'entraînement en rotation des moyens à rampe (14, 13).
