L'invention concerne une boîte de vitesse, en particulier d'un véhicule automobile, comprenant un carter et un organe de commande (300) comprenant une base (302) de laquelle s'étend un corps (304), dit principal, cylindrique d'axe (X), dit principal, prévu pour être inséré dans un logement dudit carter, et des moyens d'assemblage comprenant : - un premier épaulement (306) formé dans ladite base (302) et prévu pour être en butée contre le logement, -une gorge (308) formée dans le corps principal (304), délimitée par un deuxième (310) et un troisième épaulement, le deuxième épaulement (310) étant en regard du premier épaulement (306) et le troisième épaulement étant agencé du côté du premier épaulement (306), et - un joint d'étanchéité déformable agencé dans ladite gorge (308) ; Le fond de la gorge (308) définit une surface tronconique (S) autour de l'axe principal (X) s'élargissant en direction de la base (302).
