Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de propulsion de type hors-bord pour un engin marin de navigation comprenant un moyen de propulsion (4), au moins un moteur (1) fournissant un couple à un arbre moteur (20) s'étendant à l'extérieur du moteur et entrainant un arbre de transmission (3) destiné à fournir un couple au moyen de propulsion, l'arbre moteur et l'arbre de propulsion étant dans une orientation relative fixe, et un moyen de transmission (2) relié en entrée à l'arbre moteur (20) pour recevoir le couple moteur et le transmettre au moins en partie à l'arbre de transmission. Le moyen de transmission (2) modifie l'orientation du couple moteur et le transmet, sous la forme d'un couple modifié, à l'arbre de transmission (3) auquel il est relié en sortie et en ce que l'arbre de transmission (3) est un arbre à double cardan (30, 31) qui s'étend de façon inclinée entre le moyen de transmission (2) et le moyen de propulsion (4), l'arbre de transmission transmettant au moins en partie le couple modifié au moyen de propulsion.
