Abstract

Display panel adapted to present posters belonging to a poster band (8) wound on superposed horizontal rollers (6, 7), the upper horizontal roll carrying an upper bait band (20) extending up to a horizontal lower end edge (20a), the lower horizontal roll carrying a lower primer band (21) extending to a horizontal upper end edge (21a), and the poster band being secured with detachable way respectively to the end edges of the primer strips. Description

Display panel, display assembly and method for replacing a strip of posters in a display panel.

The present invention relates to display panels, assemblies comprising such panels and methods of replacing a strip of posters in a display panel.

More particularly, the invention relates to a display panel comprising a structure having a casing which comprises at least one transparent display face adapted to present posters belonging to a strip of posters wound on an upper horizontal roller and a horizontal roller lower, the upper horizontal roller and the lower horizontal roller being superimposed on either side of the transparent display face and electrically controlled, the upper horizontal roller carrying an upper leader strip which extends to an edge of horizontal lower end, the lower horizontal roller carrying a lower leader strip which extends to a horizontal upper end edge (this end edge is said to be “upper” with regard to the position of the lower leader strip during l normal use of the display panel, it being understood that this so-called upper end may be found temporarily in the lower position during the change of posters), and the poster strip extending longitudinally between upper and a lower end edge, the upper end edge of the poster strip being detachably fixed to the lower end edge of the upper leader strip and the lower end edge of the poster strip being detachably attached to the upper end edge of the lower leader strip, the upper horizontal roller being at a higher height H 3 m from the ground.

Display panels of this type are large panels, installed high especially in public places, to be seen from a distance.

When an operator must access the panel to replace a strip of posters, which most often requires the installation of a walkway, as described for example in document EP2541536. The installation of this gangway complicates the operation and involves working at height which is regulated.

The present invention aims in particular to overcome these drawbacks. To this end, according to the invention, a display panel of the kind in question is characterized in that the upper leader strip has a length hl at least equal to H-2 m and the lower leader strip has a length h2 at least equal to H-h3-2 m.

Thanks to these provisions, an operator can proceed from the ground to replace the strip of old posters with a new one, thus avoiding the drawbacks of using an overhead walkway.

In various embodiments of the display panel according to the invention, it is optionally possible to have recourse to one and / or the other of the following arrangements: the length h2 of the lower leader strip is substantially equal to hl-h3; - The length hl of the upper leader band is at most equal to H-l m and the length h2 of the lower leader band (31) is at most equal to H-h3-l m.

Furthermore, the invention also relates to a display assembly comprising at least one display panel as defined above and a rigid horizontal support member which extends over at least the entire width of the strip. of posters and which is held by two support rods provided with upper hooks adapted to be hung on the housing of the display panel. Another subject of the invention is a method for replacing a strip of posters in a display panel as defined above, comprising at least the following steps: (b) the lower horizontal roller is controlled to unwind the leader strip lower until the upper end edge of the lower leader strip is at a height hO at most equal to 2 m, (c) the lower end edge of the poster strip is separated from the upper end edge of the lower leader strip, (d) the upper horizontal roller is controlled to unroll the poster strip and the upper leader strip until the lower end edge of the upper leader strip is substantially at the height hO, (e) the lower primer strip is separated from the upper end edge of the poster strip.

FIG. 1 represents a display panel 1, intended in particular to be placed in a public place, for example the public thoroughfare, an airport, a station, a shopping center, etc.

The display panel 1 comprises a rigid structure, metallic or other, which comprises a casing 2 generally mounted in height. The casing 2 comprises at least one transparent display face 3, for example two opposite transparent display faces 3. The transparent display face (s) 3 each consist for example of a glazed opening which can be opened by pivoting about a horizontal axis close to the upper edge of the transparent display face 3, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3.

The casing 2 can be large, with a height and a width of several meters. It is also generally mounted in height, for example on a leg 4 fixed to the ground 5. As a variant, the casing 2 can also be fixed in height to a wall or other support.

As illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, the casing 2 contains, behind each transparent display face 3, a strip of posters 8 wound on an upper horizontal roller 6 and a lower horizontal roller 7. The upper horizontal roller 6 and the lower horizontal roller 7 are superimposed on either side of the transparent display face 3.

The upper horizontal roller 6 is at a height H relative to the ground 5. This height H can be greater than 3 m, generally greater than 4 m.

The upper horizontal roller 6 is distant from the lower horizontal roller 7 by a height h3 for example greater than 2m.

As shown in FIG. 4, the display panel 1 can comprise an electronic central unit 10 (UC) such as an automaton or the like, which controls motors 11 (Ml - M4) each driving individually one of the horizontal rollers 6, 7 (two motors in the case of a display panel with a single display face and four motors in the case of a panel with two display faces, as in the example shown.

The display panel 1 may also include a remote control 9 communicating with the central unit 10, in particular for individually controlling the motors 11. In the example shown, this remote control 9 is connected to the central unit 10 by a cable and can be stored in a housing 4a of the foot 4 closed by a closure plate during normal use of the display panel 1, but this remote control could be of any other type and in particular operate with a wireless link.

As shown in Figures 2, 3, 5, during the operation of replacing the old poster strip 8 with a new strip 8 ', the operator 0 uses a rigid removable support member 17 which extends horizontally over at least the entire width of the poster strip 8 and which is held by two support rods 14 provided with upper hooks 16 adapted to be hung on the casing 2 of the display panel. The support member 17 may in particular be a strip. The fixing of the support member 17 on the support rods 14 can be carried out by any known means, for example by hooking, interlocking or other. The support rods 14 also each have a lower end which has a poster strip support 15 substantially U-shaped open upwards, adapted to receive the a strip of posters 8 'wound.

The support rods 14 can optionally be adjustable in height for better ergonomics; they can for example be made in two sliding parts, which can be secured by screws 14a or others.

As shown in FIG. 6, the poster strip 8 can be removably attached to an upper leader strip 20 and a lower leader strip 21. The upper leader strip 20 is fixed to and wound on the upper horizontal roller 6, while that the lower leader strip 21 is fixed to and wound on the lower horizontal roller 7.

The upper leader strip 20 extends longitudinally, perpendicular to the axis of the upper horizontal roller 6, over a length h1 to a horizontal lower end edge 20a.

The lower leader strip 21 extends longitudinally, perpendicular to the axis of the lower horizontal roller 7, over a length h2 to a horizontal upper end edge 21a.

The length hl is at least equal to H-2 m and the length h2 is at least equal to H-h3-2 m. Optionally, the length hl is at least equal to H-1.70 m and the length h2 is at least equal to H-h3-1.70 m.

The length h2 can be substantially equal to hl- h3.

The length hl can be is at least equal to 2 * h3.

The length hl can be at most equal to H-l m and the length h2 can be at most equal to H-h3-l m.

The strip of posters 8 extends longitudinally between end edges 8a, 8b respectively upper and lower, and comprises a plurality of posters 8c, 8d, which are presented successively behind the corresponding transparent display face 3, by rotation of the rollers 6, 7 which are electrically controlled.

The upper end edges 8a and lower 8b are detachably fixed respectively to the end edges 20a, 21a of the priming strips, at the junctions 19a, 19b. This removable fixing can be done for example by complementary flexible plastic profiles of the “zip” type, glued respectively on the different end edges 20a, 21a, 8a, 8b and adapted to hang on each other by elastic interlocking. . Such profiles are known per se; an example is described in particular in document FR2772962. The fixing by plastic profiles can possibly be reinforced locally by adhesive tapes.

To replace a strip of posters 8 in the display panel 1, the operator O can proceed as follows: (aO) he opens at least the opening 3 of the display panel corresponding to the strip of posters 8 to replace (figures 2-3), and places the panel in manual operating mode, (al) it hooks the upper hooks 16 of the support rods 14 to the casing 2, (a2) it hooks (or otherwise fixes) the member d 'rigid support 17 on the support rods 14, (a3) it deposits, in the poster strip supports 15 of the support rods 14, the new poster strip 8' wound (it should be noted that the steps (al ) to (a3), or at least step (a3), can possibly be carried out later in the process of replacing the poster strip, at the latest before step (f) below), ( b) it controls the lower horizontal roller 7 by the remote control 9 to unwind the lower leader strip 21 in the direction D until its end edge su 21a is at a height hO at most equal to 2m, for example between 1 m and 2 m (possibly between lm and 1.70 m) (Figure 7 - note that the so-called upper end edge 21a is thus temporarily found under the roller 7 during the change of posters), (c) it separates the lower end edge 8b of the poster strip from the upper end edge 21a of the lower leader strip, ( d) it controls the upper horizontal roller 7 by the remote control 9 to unroll the poster strip 8 and the upper leader strip 20 in the direction D, preferably by simultaneously winding the poster strip 8 on itself (FIG. 8 ), until the lower end edge 20a of the upper leader strip is substantially at the height hO, (e) it separates the upper end edge 8a of the poster strips from the edge lower end 20a of the upper leader strip, (f) it fixes the upper end edge 8'a of the new poster strip 8 'at the lower end edge 20a of the upper leader strip bearing on the rigid support member 17 (FIG. 11), (g) it controls the upper horizontal roller 6 by the remote control 9 to wind the upper leader strip 20 and part of the new poster strip 8 'on the upper horizontal roller 6 in the direction U (FIG. 12), until the lower end edge 8'b of the new poster strip 8 'is located in the vicinity of the lower end edge 21a of the lower leader strip, (h) it fixes the lower end edge 8'b of the new strip of posters 8 ′ at the upper end edge 21a of the lower leader strip by bearing on the rigid support member 17, which is substantially at the height hO (FIG. 13), (i) it commands the minus one of the upper horizontal roller 6 and the lower horizontal roller 7 by the remote control 9 for that the new strip of posters 8 ′ is substantially stretched between the upper horizontal roller 6 and the lower horizontal roller 7, (j) it closes the opening 3 and returns to the panel in automatic control mode.

During step (d), the operator 0 can wind the poster strip 8 on itself using a portable electric tool 22 as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, driving at least the fourth edge d end 8b rotating around a horizontal axis.

It will be noted that during these different stages, the operator O can stand on the ground or, where appropriate, on a step of a few tens of centimeters in height. The electric tool 22 can comprise a driving device 22a (for example a drill or a cordless screwdriver) driving in rotation a split cylindrical tube 23 (or another poster tape drive member) around its axis central X. The split tube 23 may have axial slots 24 diametrically opposite its free end. During step (d), the operator O engages the split tube 23 through its slots 24 on the poster strip 8 perpendicular to a longitudinal edge of said poster strip, in the vicinity of its end edge lower 8b, and it rotates said split tube 23 around its central axis X with the drive device 22a for winding up the poster strip.

Claims (13)

1.
