More particularly, the present invention relates to a user interface for a food preparation appliance, to a food preparation appliance comprising such a user interface as well as to a method of using such a food preparation appliance.

It is known practice to produce user interfaces comprising several display devices.

However, these display devices are independent of each other and allow a specific display function to be realized separately.

In the broader field of household appliances, this notion of dual display exists on many products but is achieved by using a display device with an active matrix and one or more display devices with a passive matrix, generally using LEDs to backlight pictograms.

A display device with a passive matrix is generally used only to signal information to the user while a display device with an active matrix will be used to signal various information to the user.

Thus, because of their numbers, several simple items of information such as information on different operating states of the culinary preparation appliance, or else order information generally requiring only the display of a single word, must be indicated on a display device with an active matrix.
