Article résistant aux balles et/ou aux armes blanches, notamment un vêtement, par exemple un gilet pare-balles, comprenant un empilement de panneaux (1,2) à base de fibres, comportant au moins un premier panneau (1) et au moins un deuxième panneau (2), le ou chaque deuxième panneau (2) comportant un tissu, notamment un tissé (6), notamment de fibres d'aramide, et une nappe (7) respective en matière thermoplastique fixée sur une face du tissu, caractérisé en ce que le premier panneau ou chaque premier panneau est constitué d'une pluralité de feuilles (4), comportant chacune un tissé, notamment en aramide, fixées les unes aux autres.
