Abstract

L'invention concerne un propulseur (10) configuré pour délivrer une poussée modulable comprenant au moins : - un corps (11) de propulseur définissant une chambre (12) de combustion dans laquelle un chargement (14) de propergol est présent, le propergol ayant une vitesse de combustion Vc vérifiant la loi de Vieille : Vc = a.Pn, où P désigne la pression dans la chambre de combustion, a est un facteur pré-exponentiel et n est compris entre 0,5 et 0,8, cette loi étant vérifiée sur une plage de pression P dans la chambre de combustion allant de 20 bars à 200 bars, et la vitesse de combustion Vc du propergol étant non nulle et inférieure ou égale à 1 mm/s pour une pression dans la chambre de combustion égale à 1 bar, et - une tuyère (20) à section de col variable reliée au corps de propulseur, la tuyère comprenant un col de tuyère et un dispositif de modulation de section d'éjection de gaz apte à faire varier la section du col de tuyère.
