L'invention concerne : - un couvercle (1) pour mécanisme d'embrayage à axe de révolution central (X) destiné à contenir un diaphragme (2) et comprenant, sur son pourtour intérieur, des pattes (14) de retenue d'une rondelle d'articulation élastique (4) destinée à venir en appui circonférentiel sur ledit diaphragme, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte, sur sa paroi latérale extérieure (la), au moins deux doigts déformables (12) dont les extrémités libres sont aptes à offrir une face (12b) de butée et de support du bord périphérique du diaphragme (2) en position de stockage du mécanisme d'embrayage, - un mécanisme d'embrayage comprenant ledit couvercle (1) et, - un procédé d'assemblage dudit mécanisme en vue de son stockage.
