DECORATIVE DEVICE FOR INTERIOR COVERING PART

The invention relates to a decorative device for an interior trim part of a motor vehicle, such as for example a dashboard, a door trim, a seat back, a central control or a passenger compartment ceiling.

More particularly, the invention relates to a decorative device for a vehicle interior trim part, the device comprising a display screen and a wireless electronic interface communicating with the display screen, for controlling a modification of the image shown on the display screen.

Already known, in particular from document CN204314845 U, is a display screen arranged on a dashboard. This screen is intended to display various information. This screen can in particular be an electronic ink screen, for example an Eink® screen. This type of screen, however, requires complex installation on the dashboard, in particular because of the connections required to transmit information to display to the screen. In addition, the operation of the display screen requires energy, supplied by the electrical energy supply system of the motor vehicle, in particular of the latter's battery.

An object of the invention is to provide a decorative device for an interior trim part of a motor vehicle that does not have at least some of the disadvantages of the devices of the prior art.

To this end, the invention provides a decorative device for a vehicle interior trim part, the decorative device comprising a display screen, a wireless electronic interface, adapted to communicate with the display screen, the interface electronic being further adapted to supply power to the display screen.

This device thus makes it possible to require a minimum of energy from the vehicle, or else not to require energy from the vehicle. The vehicle’s electrical power supply system can therefore be less stressed by the decorative device than a conventional electronic component.

In addition, because the electronic interface is wireless, it does not require additional wiring. Thus, the mounting of the decorative device with the interior trim piece can be facilitated.

According to preferred embodiments, the decorative device according to the invention has one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in combination:

- the display screen is flexible;

- the display screen is an electronic ink screen;

- the electronic interface is a near field communication interface;

the decorative device further comprises a support part, the support part comprising a first surface and a second surface, in which the display screen is arranged on the first surface and the electronic interface is disposed on the second surface of the support piece, opposite the display screen;

- the display screen and the support part are glued together;

- The decorative device further comprises a protective film for the display screen;

- the total thickness of the display screen, the support part and the protective film, if any, is less than 40 mm;

- the interior trim part of a motor vehicle is one of a dashboard, a door trim, a center console, a seatback and a passenger compartment ceiling.

In the following description, identical elements or identical functions bear the same reference sign. For the sake of brevity of this description, these elements are not described in the context of each embodiment, only the differences between the different examples being described in detail.

FIG. 1 illustrates a part of a motor vehicle cabin 10 with a dashboard 12 of a motor vehicle. As shown in this figure, a decorative device 11 is located on the dashboard 12 of the motor vehicle.

The example of decorative device 11 described is adapted to be placed on a dashboard 12 of a motor vehicle. However, this decorative device 11 can be adapted to any interior trim part of a motor vehicle.

In the present description, an interior trim part is a functional assembly for trimming part of the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle. This interior trim piece may possibly include several pieces connected or fixed together. Such an interior trim piece can in particular be chosen from a dashboard, a door trim, a central console, a seat back or even a passenger compartment ceiling.

As illustrated in FIG. 2, the decorative device 11 firstly comprises a display screen 13. The display screen 13 makes it possible to reproduce a pattern, as desired by the user. Since the pattern is displayed on a screen, the pattern can be complex. A motif is a decorative visual structure. For example, a pattern can be a repetition of defined shapes, the reproduction of a landscape, a character or an object.

The display screen 13 is here an electronic ink screen or electronic paper. An example of this type of screen is an Eink ® screen. Such a screen is particularly interesting because it allows a display without continuous consumption of energy. Indeed, such a screen consumes energy only to modify the image it displays. Once the image has been modified, the consumption of such a screen is zero. Thus, the consumption of such a screen is limited in the context of the intended application of a decorative device in a motor vehicle to only cases where the pattern displayed on the display screen 13 is modified. In addition, the power consumption of such a screen for changing the display is reduced.

The display screen 13 can be flexible. This makes it possible in particular to adapt the shape of the display screen 13 and thus of the decorative device 11 as well as possible to the interior trim piece on which it is fixed. This type of screen can therefore adapt to the complex surfaces of the various interior trim parts present in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. Another advantage of this type of screen is to improve the final rendering of the interior trim piece provided with the decorative device 11.

Furthermore, the decorative device 11 comprises a wireless electronic interface 14. By wireless, here is understood to be adapted to communicate with a control device, without wired connection. In particular, communication can be carried out via waves. Preferably, the wireless interface means an interface that does not require electrical power either. Thus, in other words, the electronic interface is not electrically supplied by a cable connecting the electronic interface to a power source.

The wireless electronic interface 14 is adapted to control a modification of the pattern displayed by the display screen 13. To do this, the wireless electronic interface 14 can be connected by a wire to the display screen.

The electronic interface 14 is for example a near field interface. A near-field interface, known as an NFC interface (for Near Field Communication in English), makes it possible to change the pattern displayed on the display screen 13 in a simple manner, while powering the screen electrically. display 13.

In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 2, the decorative device 11 comprises a computer 15. By computer is meant here an electronic control unit or any computer adapted to control the electronic interface 14 and / or the screen d display 13. The computer 15 of the decorative device 11 may in particular be confused with the on-board computer of the motor vehicle or, on the contrary, be a computer separate from this on-board computer of the motor vehicle. In the latter case, in particular, the computer can be dedicated to the decorative device 11, that is to say that it is not used for any other function in the motor vehicle.

Here, the computer 15 is used to control the switching on and off of the decorative device 11. The switching on or off of the decorative device 11 may in particular consist in preventing or on the contrary allowing the electronic interface 14 to process the information received from near-field waves emitted near the electronic interface 14. In addition, the computer 15 can order a “stop” of the display screen 13. By “order the stop of the display screen 13 ″, here means sending an instruction of a neutral display on the display screen 13. A neutral display is for example a plain screen, in particular of the color of the part of interior trim on which the decorative device 11 is fixed and / or of a neutral color such as white, gray or black.

It is understood that such a computer 15 is optional. In particular, a display screen 13 display stop can be controlled directly using a remote control device. In this case, the display stop consists of a specific command of the display screen, issued by the remote control device.

Finally, in the example illustrated, the decorative device 11 comprises a support part 16. The support part 16 is rigid, in particular more rigid than the display screen 13. Thus, the support part 16 is in particular intended to increase the rigidity of the decorative device 11. The display screen 13, when it is flexible, can in particular follow the shape of the support part 16.

The support part 16 comprises a plastic material. The support piece 16 can then be produced by injection molding of the plastic material, by pressing or by any other plastic material shaping process suitable for the production of the support piece 16.

Advantageously, the other constituent elements of the decorative device 11 can also be fixed on the support piece 16. This forms a support device in the form of a module intended to be put in place on the interior trim piece.

Advantageously, the interior trim part forms, as illustrated in FIG. 2, a housing for receiving the decorative device 11, produced in the form of a module. Here, the housing is shaped so that the display screen 13 is flush with the surface of the interior trim piece. In other words, the display screen 13 does not protrude from the interior trim piece.

In the case illustrated in FIG. 2, the support piece 16 is fixed to the dashboard 12. The support piece 16 thus connects the decorative device 11 to the dashboard 12.

More particularly, the support piece 16 here has a shape such that one dimension, its thickness, is much less than its two other dimensions, which are its length and its width. For example, the thickness is ten times smaller, preferably twenty times smaller than the length and width of the support piece 16. In this case, the support piece 16 is a thin plate, which can be curved. It is thus possible to adapt the support piece 16 to the shape of the interior trim piece 12, near the support piece 16.

Here, the support part 16 comprises a first surface 17 and a second main surface 18, preferably substantially identical. The first surface 17 is oriented towards the passenger compartment. The first surface 17 is therefore likely to be visible to an occupant of the motor vehicle (in the absence of the display screen), whether it is the driver or a passenger of the motor vehicle. The second surface 18 is oriented in the opposite direction. Thus, here, the second surface 18 is oriented towards the body of the motor vehicle, that is to say towards the side not visible to an occupant of the motor vehicle.

As shown in FIG. 2, the display screen 13 is arranged on the support part 16. More precisely, the display screen 13 is fixed on the first surface 17 of the support part 16. For example, the display screen 13 is glued to the first surface 17. The display screen 13 is thus firmly positioned on the support part 16. Gluing also has the advantage of being easy to implement. The display screen 13 can however be fixed to the first surface 17 by any other means accessible to a person skilled in the art, such as for example by means of screws or by elastic fitting.

Furthermore, the wireless electronic interface 14 is fixed to the support part 16. More precisely, the electronic interface 14 is arranged on the second surface 18 of the support part 16. In other words, the screen display 13 and the electronic interface 14 are separated from each other by the support part 16. The electronic interface 14 is thus not visible to the occupant of the motor vehicle.

Finally, the computer 15 is also fixed on the support part 16. Here, the computer 15 is arranged on the second surface 18 of the support part

16. The computer 15 is therefore not visible to the user.

The operation of the decorative device 11 is described below.

A user affixes an electronic device equipped with an electronic library of images on or in the vicinity of the display screen 13. The electronic device is for example a portable telephone, in particular a smartphone (from the English “ smartphone ”), a tablet, a computer or a connected watch. The electronic device is suitable for communicating with the electronic interface 14.

The electronic device emits a control signal for displaying a pattern on the display screen, in the form of near-field waves intended for the electronic interface 14. In particular, the electronic device transmits high frequency waves (for example 13.56 MHz) which provide, in addition to the information relating to the pattern to be displayed on the display screen 13, the energy necessary to power the display screen 13.

The electronic interface 14 receives the near field waves coming from the electronic device. Consequently, the electronic interface emits a control signal intended for the display screen 13. The control signal emitted by the electronic interface 14 also allows the power supply of the display screen, necessary for modification of the displayed pattern.

In order to facilitate communication between the electronic device and the wireless electronic interface 14, the thickness E measured between the display surface of the display screen 13 and the second surface 18 of the support part (and therefore the total thickness of the display screen 13 and of the support part 16) is between 0.5 mm and 40 mm. For example, the thickness E is less than 20 mm. The small thickness E of the decorative device 11 also facilitates its integration into the interior trim piece.

Another exemplary embodiment is illustrated in FIG. 3.

The example of this FIG. 3 differs from the example of FIG. 2, first of all because the decorative device 11 also comprises a film 19 for protecting the display screen 13. The protective film 19 is arranged on the display surface of the display screen 13. This protective film 19 can in particular protect the display screen 13 from external aggressions, such as for example scratches, shock, projection of liquid.

The protective film 19 can also have an area with a magnifying effect, this making it easier to see certain details displayed by the display screen 13. The protective film 19 can also be colored, varnished, or other, for a best final rendering.

In the case of the example in FIG. 3, the thickness E mentioned above is measured between the free surface of the protective film 19 and the second surface 18 of the support part 16. This thickness E is thus the thickness of l assembly comprising the protective film 19, the display screen 13 and the support part 16.

Furthermore, according to this exemplary embodiment, the support part 16 is formed by the interior trim part 12 on which the decorative device 11 is fixed. This type of configuration facilitates the integration of the decorative device 11 on the interior trim part 12.

In this case also, the decorative device 11 can be fixed on the interior trim piece 12 so that the protective film 19 is flush with the surface of the interior trim piece. In other words, the protective film 19 does not protrude relative to the interior trim piece.

The invention is not limited to the only examples described above but is susceptible of numerous variants accessible to those skilled in the art.

In particular, the two examples described can be combined as long as their lessons are not contradictory.

In addition, instead of a pattern, the poster screen can display w information from the electronic device, such as a personalized message intended for the occupant of the motor vehicle.

Finally, the electronic interface 14 can communicate with the display screen 13 according to near-field communication technology, in particular according to NFC technology. In this case, the decorative device 11 can have no wire connection between the electronic interface 14 and the display screen 13. In this case, the screen is preferably provided with an integrated wireless electronic interface, in particular an integrated NFC interface. In this case, again, a small thickness of the support piece 16 can allow better communication between the electronic interface 14 and the display screen.
