OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a watering trough for wild animals, and more specifically a trough for birds living in freedom, whether in areas defined and arranged for them to live freely, as in areas or extensions of land without barriers limiting their freedom. The object of the invention is to provide a drinking trough of simple structure, devoid of means and devices likely to fail which would prevent it from operating, and remarkably stable so as not to accidentally tilt, where the filling can be carried out. artificial way, that is to say by filling by the staff designated for this purpose, but also in a natural way by recovering rainwater.

ANTECEDENTS OF THE INVENTION

The types of drinking troughs that exist on the market are numerous and varied, both at the domestic and industrial levels, to allow any type of animal, including birds, to drink, such as those intended for wild animals.

This type of watering trough presents a problematic which is essentially based on three aspects:

They are made from deteriorating materials, not only because of bad weather but also because of their own animals.

They generally have a vertical column-shaped configuration, which frequently causes them to accidentally or intentionally switch over.

They include means for dosing water through valves and / or buoys that regulate the passage from a main deposit to a smaller consumer receptacle in which the animal can drink, these mechanisms are likely to defect, leaving the trough inoperative, in addition to increasing the cost of the trough.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In a very satisfactory way, the recommended watering trough for wild animals solves the problem previously described for each and every commented aspect, on the basis of a simple but no less effective solution.

For this, and more concretely, the drinking trough of the invention is characterized in that it consists of a prismatic-rectangular flattened body, that is to say horizontally elongated so as to offer the greatest stability possible , made of concrete, with the upper part open, where is defined a water storage deposit with a perimetric and internal staggering in correspondence with its mouth, on which will lean a lid, also in concrete, of smaller thickness, and whose plan dimensions are slightly smaller, so as to define, when mating with the mouth of the device, a passage for rainwater, where said perimeter staggering defines an upper frame on the cover which collects the water, since it is slightly higher than said lid. The rain water falls on the lid and is removed by gravity towards the interior of the deposit.

In addition, on the lateral part of the main deposit and forming part of the same body, a deposit serving as a drinking trough is provided, of smaller dimensions and in communication with the main deposit through a lower orifice, in order to establish a communication of the vases. communicating between the two depots, (main and suppletive), so that the use of valves, buoys or other types of devices is not necessary, the water being supplied from the main depot to the depot , where the second depot defines the trough itself, as has been mentioned.

The bottom of the drinking trough itself has a "V" -shaped bottom, the joining edge of which must be in correspondence with the water supply opening of the main deposit, said bottom being completed by the vertical walls. corresponding sides.

Thus, a drinking trough with a very economical manufacturing cost, fully functional, without risk of malfunctions or failover.

PREFERENTIAL REALIZATION OF THE INVENTION

In view of the figures described, it can be observed that the drinking trough for wild animals consists of a concrete body 1, in which a main, preferably rectangular, prismatic deposit 2, open at the level of the upper part, is defined for water storage and collection of rainwater, which laterally comprises a residual depot 3, determining the actual watering trough.

The main deposit 2 is closed by means of a cover 4 which remains coupled by pressing on a perimetric and internal staggering 5 provided in the mouth of said main deposit 2, so that the cover 4 is slightly smaller than said staggering, both in terms of its plan dimensions and its thickness, which facilitates the passage and recovery of rainwater on the upper surface of the lid.

For its part, the auxiliary depot 3 serving as watering proper communicates with the main deposit 2 through a lower orifice 6 provided in the common partition shared by said deposits, which establishes a communicating communicating vessels between the two deposits, and as a result the water of the main deposit 2 passes into the auxiliary depot 3 constituting the trough itself, while maintaining the level of the latter at the same level as the main deposit 2.

As another characteristic, the auxiliary deposit 3 constituting the actual watering chamber has a bottom having two slopes 3 'oriented towards the orifice 6 of communication between the two deposits, and also serving as a water discharger in order to allow simultaneously and in parallel the collection of rainwater to the main depot.
