L'invention concerne un procédé d'échange d'informations entre un système multimédia embarqué dans un véhicule et un serveur distant, comportant : -une étape d'envoi par le système multimédia d'une demande d'informations liées à une localisation spécifiée par le véhicule, -une étape de réception par le système multimédia d'un message comportant lesdites informations, ledit message comportant un champ d'entête (MMC), un champ de données applicatives (APC) et un champ de données de géolocalisation (LRC), et un paramètre prenant une valeur choisie dans une liste comportant: - une valeur représentative de la présence dans le message de données relatives à un point d'intérêt quelconque, - une valeur représentative de la présence dans le message de données relatives à un parking, - et une valeur représentative de la présence le message de données relatives à une station-service.The invention relates to a method of exchanging information between an on-board multimedia system in a vehicle and a remote server, comprising: a step of sending by the multimedia system a request for information related to a location specified by the vehicle, a step of reception by the multimedia system of a message comprising said information, said message comprising a header field (MMC), an application data field (APC) and a geolocation data field (LRC) , and a parameter taking a value chosen from a list comprising: - a value representative of the presence in the message of data relating to any point of interest, - a value representative of the presence in the message of data relating to a car park , - and a value representative of the presence of the data message relating to a service station.
