L'invention concerne un afficheur (1) tête-haute comprenant : - une unité de génération d'image (10) émettant un faisceau lumineux (F),- une cellule à cristaux liquides (11), disposée sur le trajet dudit faisceau lumineux, configurée pour que ledit faisceau lumineux sorte de ladite cellule en présentant : - une première polarisation (P1), lorsqu'un signal de commande (s) de ladite cellule présente une première valeur, et - une deuxième polarisation (P2), lorsque le signal de commande présente une deuxième valeur, la polarisation dudit faisceau lumineux en sortie de l'afficheur dépendant directement de sa polarisation en sortie de la cellule à cristaux liquides.
