Le déploiement du manche s'effectue par glissement de plaques reliées entre elles. Le manche extensible en position fermé s'escamote complètement dans le dispositif pour un encombrement minimal. Le dispositif selon l'invention compact et multifonctions a la particularité d'être nomade, utilisable à la plage, en voyage, ou simplement pour un usage familial au quotidien. L'assemblage de six plaques donnera le manche extensible du dispositif. Le montage du manche commence par l’emmanchement de plaques via queue d’aronde mâle/femelle. Un poussoir à bille sur ressort (14) est ensuite vissé dans le taraudage de la plaque du dessous qui se logera dans la rainure borgne de la plaque du dessus. Ce poussoir a deux fonctions : dans un premier temps, il empêche les plaques de se désolidariser et ensuite permet un « blocage » en fin de course grâce à sa bille sur ressort qui se loge dans les trous débouchants aux extrémités de la rainure. Le blocage en position « ouvert » permet une rigidité de l’ensemble du manche. Le blocage en position « fermé » permet d’assurer un maintien du manche rétracté dans l’évidement central du dispositif.
