Abstract

La présente invention concerne une souche de levure génétiquement modifiée, ainsi qu'un procédé de bioproduction d'acétaldéhyde utilisant cette souche. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne une souche de S. cerevisiae exprimant une NADH oxydase exogène et dans laquelle le gène ADH1 est inactivé. Mise en culture dans un milieu comprenant environ 5% de sucres et en présence d'un bullage permettant l'extraction en continu de l'acétaldéhyde produit, cette souche permet une production aisée d'acétaldéhyde.The present invention relates to a genetically modified strain of yeast, as well as a process for the bioproduction of acetaldehyde using this strain. More particularly, the invention relates to a strain of S. cerevisiae expressing an exogenous NADH oxidase and in which the ADH1 gene is inactivated. Cultured in a medium comprising approximately 5% of sugars and in the presence of bubbling allowing the continuous extraction of the acetaldehyde produced, this strain allows easy production of acetaldehyde.
