Abstract
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de détection d'une fuite dans une ligne d'admission en air (3, 7) d'un moteur thermique (2) doté d'un collecteur d'admission (8) et de cylindres (13), ladite détection s'effectuant entre un compresseur (20) d'un turbocompresseur et ledit moteur (2). La principale caractéristique d'un procédé de détection selon l'invention est qu'il comprend les étapes suivantes, - une étape de mesure du débit d'air dans la ligne d'admission (3, 6), - une étape d'estimation de la masse d'air admise par un cylindre (13) à travers une étape de détermination de la masse d'air enfermée dans ledit cylindre (13), et qui est fonction de la pression dans celui-ci, - une étape de comparaison entre la masse d'air admise estimée et la masse d'air théorique dans le cylindre (13) déduite de la mesure du débit d'air, - une étape de détection d'une fuite si la masse d'air admise est inférieure à la masse d'air théorique.The invention relates to a method for detecting a leak in an air intake line (3, 7) of a heat engine (2) provided with an intake manifold (8) and cylinders ( 13), said detection being carried out between a compressor (20) of a turbocharger and said engine (2). The main characteristic of a detection method according to the invention is that it comprises the following steps, - a step for measuring the air flow rate in the intake line (3, 6), - an estimation step of the air mass admitted by a cylinder (13) through a step of determining the air mass enclosed in said cylinder (13), and which is a function of the pressure therein, - a comparison step between the estimated admitted air mass and the theoretical air mass in the cylinder (13) deduced from the measurement of the air flow, - a step of detecting a leak if the admitted air mass is less than the theoretical air mass.
