La pose de carrelage sur dalle béton est réalisée au moyen d’une couche de mortier-colle sur laquelle les carreaux sont positionnés un à un. Le carreleur ajuste chaque carreau au moyen d’un maillet afin d’obtenir la bonne hauteur et de respecter le bon alignement dans le plan requis. La vérification par le carreleur de la qualité du travail réalisé s’effectue généralement en passant sa main, à la fois sur le dernier carreau posé ainsi que sur les carreaux voisins. Il s’assure ainsi de la parfaite planéité de la pose ; c’est ce critère qui va essentiellement déterminer la qualité du carreleur. L’utilisation du maillet dans la pose de carrelage reste une opération délicate : - le fait de taper sur un bord du carreau fait lever aussitôt le bord opposé, - la force de l’impact doit être à la fois suffisante pour permettre un bon positionnement mais aussi parfaitement mesurée afin d’éviter la casse du carreau tout en sachant que la difficulté de ce « dosage » augmente avec la taille du carreau. - le temps offert au carreleur lors de la pose est limité : en effet, le temps de prise du mortier-colle impose un avancement régulier et continu. - enfin, l’utilisation du maillet génère une fatigue accrue pour l’utilisateur.Tiling on a concrete slab is carried out by means of a layer of adhesive mortar on which the tiles are positioned one by one. L’invention consiste en un outillage électroportatif composé d’un moteur alimenté par câble électrique ou par batterie, générant un mouvement vibratoire variable commandé par l’utilisateur et transmis à une semelle en matière synthétique ou composite de formes interchangeables revêtues d’une surface de type « caoutchouc ». Le simple déplacement de l’appareil sur les carreaux permet d’obtenir à la fois une bonne adhérence mais aussi une planéité parfaite avec des efforts limités. L’intégration d’un dispositif de vérification de niveau de type « bulle d’air » sur la semelle permet en outre de vérifier le niveau au fur et à mesure de la pose. La qualité de l’adhérence permet ainsi de dispenser l’utilisateur, dans de nombreux cas, de l’opération de double encollage.
