Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de surveillance (10) d'un conducteur (2) d'un véhicule (1) de transport comprenant : - un dispositif de capture d'image (11), - un dispositif d'éclairage (13) du champ du dispositif de capture d'image, et - une unité de commande programmée (12) pour : a) commander la capture d'au moins une image de la tête du conducteur par le dispositif de capture d'image, et pour b) traiter ladite image capturée à l'étape a) pour déterminer un paramètre de surveillance du conducteur. Selon l'invention, l'unité de commande est programmée en outre pour : c) détecter la présence d'un obstacle s'étendant dans le champ du dispositif de capture d'image entre le dispositif de capture d'image et la tête du conducteur, et d) lorsque la présence de l'obstacle est détectée, commander l'extinction de ce dispositif d'éclairage. Une méthode de surveillance associée est également décrite.
