Abstract

L'invention concerne un étrier d'équitation de sécurité comportant une boucle (1) apte à être attachée à une étrivière, un étrier présentant une forme générale d'arceau dans lequel un cavalier introduit un pied dans une direction d'introduction sensiblement perpendiculaire au plan contenant l'arceau, avec un plancher en partie inférieure, sur lequel un cavalier peut poser le pied, et au moins une branche latérale (21, 22) reliant ledit plancher à une tête (23) de l'étrier, et un dispositif de solidarisation de la tête (23) de l'étrier à la boucle (1), apte à autoriser une désolidarisation totale de l'étrier par rapport à la boucle (1) en cas de chute. Selon l'invention, le dispositif de solidarisation comporte un mécanisme (3) de clippage de l'étrier à la boucle (1) comportant au moins un élément élastique (31) apte à coopérer avec au moins un relief (13, 14) prévu sur une surface correspondante pour empêcher un déclippage de l'étrier par rapport à la boucle (1); et une extrémité inférieure de la boucle (1) et la tête (23) de l'étrier coopérant selon des surfaces de glissement (11a, 12a, 27) de profil courbe pour permettre, avant déclippage et/ou désolidarisation totale de l'étrier et de la boucle (1), une rotation relative de l'étrier et de la boucle (1) dans ladite direction d'introduction d'un pied du cavalier dans l'étrier.
