Abstract

Field of the Invention The invention belongs to the field of glazing.

Prior art

Traditionally, the opening frame is a carpentry made of aluminum in which the double glazing is taken in rabbet. A disadvantage of this rebate is that the opening frame is apparent on both sides of the double glazing.

To hide the opening frame on one side of the glazing, it is known technique glued exterior glazing, also called VEC technique. The glazing is glued against a frame of adequate opening. Gluing operations must be carried out with great care and can only be performed by a workshop holding a certificate of conformity issued by a certified body.

In the VEC technique, the opening frame is metallic. However, the metal has a higher thermal conductivity than glass. In addition, the metal increases the cost, the weight, the time of manufacture of the sash and decreases the clear glazing.

To improve the thermal conductivity of an opening made according to this technique, polyamide bars with thermal break are integrated into the opening frame. These bars reduce the thermal conductivity.

An object of the invention is to achieve an open sash frame opening at least one side and is less restrictive in terms of security and / or safety regulations.

Another object of the invention is to provide a sash frame opening concealed at least one side which has a lower manufacturing cost, and / or a lower weight, and / or a faster manufacturing time and / or a larger glazing light.

Another object of the invention is to provide a sash frame opening concealed at least one side which has better thermal insulation.

Another object of the invention is to provide an opening sash frame concealed by at least one side that uses for its fixation on a supporting structure and a spacer frame and holes and which provides an aesthetic fixation and certain .

Presentation of the invention

At least one of the aforementioned objects is achieved with, according to a first aspect of the invention, a glazing unit intended to be mechanically fastened without frame to at least one opening support, for example in a completely glazed curtain wall, the glazing unit comprising a first panel, preferably rigid, consisting of a synthetic glass, smooth or frosted, transparent, semi-transparent or opaque, the first panel having an inner face, the inner face being provided with a fixing means, located preferably ready with an edge of said first panel, for fixing the glazing directly on the at least one opening support. A synthetic glass advantageously has a high resistance to bending. The use of a rigid panel which has a high flexural strength as an internal panel allows to subject it to relatively high mechanical loads as they may possibly intervene during an ad hoc fixation by the fixing means.

The inner face of the panel is the face intended to be turned towards the inside of an opening when the opening is equipped with glazing according to the invention.

A synthetic glass may consist of a solid polycarbonate or a polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

The glazing may comprise at least one other panel, preferably rigid. The at least one other panel is made of synthetic glass or not, smooth or frosted, transparent, semi-transparent or opaque. The panels of the glazing are parallel to each other and spaced by a peripheral bracing, also called interlayer.

The fixing means may be a seal, putty or glue of thermoplastic polymer materials, elastomeric type applied in the form of a cord or a more or less wide band.

The fixing means may be an adhesive tape, preferably double-sided, one side of the tape being bonded to the inner face and the other being intended to be bonded to the at least one sash support.

A double-sided adhesive tape provides both a reinforcement of the structure of the at least one support, thermal insulation and air-tightness and / or moisture.

The double-sided adhesive tape can be made by a sticky tape of synthetic material.

Preferably, the fixing means is disposed solely on the inner face of the glazing.

According to another aspect of the invention, there is provided an opening comprising at least one opening support and a glazing according to the first aspect of the invention or to one of its improvements. The at least one support is provided to carry the glazing.

According to a feature, the at least one support does not framing the opening.

Preferably, the glazing is not hung in the at least one support.

Preferably, the at least one support does not frame the glazing.

Preferably, the at least one support does not completely surround the glazing.

Preferably, the at least one support partially surrounds the glazing.

Preferably, the opening does not include a sash frame. The opening can be movable between an open position and a closed position relative to a frame. In particular, the opening can be movable by pivoting.

The panel, or at least one panel, of the glazing may overflow on at least one side of the frame, preferably at least at the outer face of the glazing, when the door is in the closed position.

When the opening is in the closed position, at least one glazing plate can be supported on a front face of the frame. Sealing means may be provided for sealing between the at least one panel and the front face of the frame.

Preferably, the leaf does not include any additional seal other than the glazing attachment means.

In one embodiment, the opening comprises two separate opening supports provided to carry the glazing placed respectively at one end, for example longitudinal, glazing. Thus, the longitudinal dimensions of the supports may be independent of the longitudinal dimension of the opening. Each bracket can be installed separately from the other.

Advantageously, the opening comprises two gussets. Each gusset can be fixedly connected and perpendicular to the glazing. Each gusset may protrude towards the rear of the opening, relative to the direction of opening of the opening. Each gusset can be placed near each transverse side of the frame.

Description of the invention

These embodiments being in no way limiting, it will be possible in particular to make variants of the invention comprising only a selection of characteristics described hereinafter, as described or generalized, isolated from the other characteristics described, if this selection of characteristics is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention from the state of the art.

Figure 1 illustrates a glazing 1 to be mechanically fixed without framing two sash supports 2a, 2b.

The glazing 1 comprises two panels 3, 4 made of a synthetic glass, solid polycarbonate, smooth or transparent. The panels 3, 4 of the glazing 1 are parallel to each other and spaced apart by a spacer 5 peripheral, also called spacer.

The first panel 3 has an inner face 6. The inner face 6 of the panel 3 is the face intended to be turned towards the inside of an opening 7 when the opening 7 is equipped with the glazing unit 1 according to the invention.

The inner face 6 is provided with fastening means 8a, 8b, located near the transverse edges of the first panel 3.

The fixing means 8a, 8b are intended to fix the glazing 1 directly on two opening supports 2a, 2b of the opening 7 provided to carry the glazing placed respectively at a longitudinal end, of the glazing.

The two sash supports 2a, 2b have a square shape.

The two openings 2a, 2b have a face 9a, 9b square substantially parallel to the panels 3, 4 and carrying the first panel 3. The face 9a, 9b is also provided with flanges perpendicular to the plane of the face, to stop in translation glazing 1. The other face of the square is made in the form of gusset 10a, 10b. Thus, each gusset 10a, 10b is fixedly connected and perpendicular to the glazing 1.

Fastening means 8a, 8b are adhesive tapes, made in the form of a sticky strip of synthetic material, one face of which is bonded to the inner face 6 of the panel 3 and the other is adhered to the faces 9a, 9b of the opening 2a, 2b. The fastening means 8a, 8b are arranged only on the internal face 6 of the panel 3.

FIG. 4 illustrates a blade window 11 comprising a frame 12 of substantially rectangular shape having two transverse sides 13, two longitudinal sides 14. There may be provided a flange 15 surrounding the frame 12 and intended to be plated on the outer surface of the building around the bay in which the window 11 is installed.

In the example shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the leaf window 11 comprises n openings 7, here n = 3. Each opening 7 comprises a glazing unit 1, also called a blade, which can pivot about a longitudinal axis of pivoting 16 so as to open and close relative to the frame 12 of the window.

In the closed position, each blade 1 covers about 1 / n of the surface of the opening of the frame 12, extending over the entire longitudinal dimension and 1 / n of the transverse dimension of this opening. In general, all the blades 1 open and close simultaneously, or more generally present at each moment the same angular orientation relative to the plane of the frame.

In one embodiment, each opening 7 has at each longitudinal end a transverse reinforcement 17. The longitudinal axis of pivoting 16 extends in the plane of the respective blade 1 near a longitudinal edge 18 of the latter. The blade 1 opens to the outside of the building where the window 11 is placed. Preferably, the blades 1 are thermally insulated.

The frame 12 comprises a bay face, turned towards the opening defined by the window, a peripheral face 19, opposite to the bay face and intended to be turned towards the wall of the building in which the window is mounted, and a face frontal 20, turned towards the outside of the building. In the example shown, these three faces are defined by a core of the frame 12.

The blade window 11 comprises guiding means adapted to guide the blades 1 of the window 11 in their opening and closing movement.

The guide means mounted on the peripheral face 19 comprise, near each transverse armature 17 of the opening 7, a rod 21 connected by two pivot links 22, 23, at one end, with the peripheral face 19 of the frame 12 of the window, and at a second end, respectively, with the transverse frame 17 of the opening 7. The rods 21 can support the blades 1 during the opening and closing movements of the window. Thanks to the rods 21, a point of each blade, materialized by the articulation of the blade with the link, follows with respect to the frame 12 a trajectory in the form of a circular segment around the other articulation of the link 21.

In the closed position, all the blades 1 are coplanar and joined together. Preferably, a seal is present between the at least one blade 1 and the transverse front face of the frame 12. The arrangement of the guiding means at the periphery of the frame of the window 11 makes it possible to improve the Sealing of the window 11. The improvement of the seal is particularly important in the case where the window 11 is laid horizontally.

The blades 1 which have a blade in front of them during the closing movement (that is to say the blades 1 except the one on the right in the figures) bear on their longitudinal edge which moves inwards during the closing movement. a sealing strip 24 which in the closed position is to cap the other edge of the blade located in front. Each bar 24 has a side skirt 25 at each end to cap a corresponding end of the gap between the successive blades in the closed position. Each gusset 10a, 10b preferably comprises a distal portion that overlaps the frame 12, regardless of the position of the blade 3. Each gusset 10a, 10b has, opposite the longitudinal axis of pivoting 16, a shape to globally convex contour, in particular substantially a shape of a quarter of a disc. These features have the effect of closing laterally, in part, the space between the open blades and thus protect the opening against wind and / or rain and / or snow when the at least one blade is in open position. The gusset 10a, 10b is located near a transverse side 13, more precisely near the transverse bay face of the frame 12.
