Abstract

The invention relates to a device which is fixed on the handle of the putter and which makes it possible to work on its putting alignment without having to install a device placed on the ground. It consists of an attachment system (1), a support rod (2) and a reference point (3) The user fixes the system on the putter shaft, then aligns the reference point and the center of the face of the putter. The user can then put himself in the position of putter and aim a hole or a target. It is then enough for him to align the face of the putter the landmark and the target (figure 4) to check its alignment. There is no need to put a help system on the ground. Changing the target becomes very easy. The device according to the invention is particularly adapted to improve its putting alignment. It allows to easily visualize its line of put and to change of target easily.

The present invention relates to the field of golf. It is a device to improve the aim to putting.

Traditionally, to work on its alignment with putting one uses systems laid on the ground. This system placed on the ground shows the line of put to follow: Rope stretched between the hole (or the target) and the ball, rule placed on the ground. One example is the patent of Mr BROOKS ROGER JOHN No. W00205905 of 2002-01-24

These devices are doubly restrictive: They require us to pre-install on the hole chosen for training and to reinstall the systems each time we decide to change the line of put or target.

The device according to the invention overcomes this disadvantage. It has several features: - The system is linked to the putter, it is fixed on the handle of the putter. - Fixing can be done by clip (speed of installation) or any other fastening system.

Once fixed, the system is linked to the putter, which makes it easy to change the target. - Fixation supports a straight or curved rod that is terminated by a target point that allows to have a landmark between the ball and the hole (or the target)

The system is only adjusted once. At its installation on the putter one aligns the reference point of the system with the center of the putter. - The system improves its alignment, its aim. Indeed we find ourselves once in putter position with three reference points: the target (or the hole), the reference point of the system and the face of the putter. Just align them for proper alignment with the target. - To improve the visibility of the system, the mounting rod can be tilted or straight with respect to the fastening system.

The handle of the putter is often inclined, Figure 2, shows inclination of the support rod relative to the attachment. This inclination may not be excited.

Figure 3 shows the system once mounted on the putter shaft.

Figure 4 shows the contribution of the system to visualize its line of put and thus improve its alignment through this landmark located between the putter and the target. The invention is composed of a piece which is fixed on the lower part of the putter. This piece has 3 distinct parts: fixation, stem and mark (figure 1)

Fixing is done using a jaw that surrounds the tube of the handle of the putter. This jaw can be clipped on the handle and hold without any screws. All types of fasteners can also be used to fix the system to the tube.

The support rod connects the fastening system and the reference point. It can be straight or curved. The putter handles are often inclined to the ground. The stem is either inclined or straight with respect to the setting of the putter (Figure 2)

The reference point is fixed at the end of the fixing rod. It is a marker that makes it easier to aim the putting line (figure 4)

The system is positioned on the handle of the putter. The user will first set up the system and fix it on his putter. He will adjust the system, ie align the center of the face of his putter and the system reference point. Once in place its operation is simple. The user will choose a target, a hole and put himself in position of putter. Once in position, he goes with a simple look align the face of his putter, the system benchmark and the target. He can then easily visualize his line of put and start putter. By dint of repetition, he will improve his alignment.

1) Device for improving its putting alignment characterized in that it comprises a rod (2) with on one of its ends a fastening device (1) which makes it possible to fix it on the handle of the putter and to the other end a landmark (3) which then allows to visualize its alignment with the target. 2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the fastening device (1) secures the rod (2) 1 using a jaw clipping on the handle (see page 1 line description 42 to 43). 3) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the fastening device (1) and the rod (2) are straight or slightly inclined (Greek angle alpha) 4) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the rod (2) is straight or curved. 5) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the landmark device (3) comprises a marker which defines a target point.
