Abstract

Procédé pour la création de motif en relief sur la tranche de gouttière d'un livre ou autre volume constitué de feuilles assemblées. L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'obtenir un motif en relief à partir d'opérations de pliage des feuilles composant un livre, un agenda ou autre volume. Il est composé d'un gabarit du motif à reproduire et de marques de repères imprimées sur les pages du volume à éditer, établies à partir du gabarit durant la mise en page. Le marquage des repères détermine les opérations de pliage. Une fois les feuilles pliées, le livre présente sur sa tranche de gouttière la reproduction en bas-relief du motif du gabarit et est auto-porté verticalement. Le dispositif selon l'invention est particulièrement destiné aux domaines d'édition, de papeterie et des loisirs créatifs.A method for creating a relief pattern on the gutter edge of a book or other volume of assembled sheets. Actuellement, on trouve des livres dits à système, appelés également livres animés généralement destinés aux enfants, qui font apparaître des motifs en bas-relief à l’ouverture du volume. Un tel exemple d’ouvrage est fourni dans le Brevet International W02009093814. Dans ce cas, les bas-reliefs sont obtenus par des opérations de découpage puis de pliage. Dans l’élaboration de ce type d’ouvrage, ce dispositif présente comme principaux inconvénients d’imposer une fabrication spécifique à chaque ouvrage, un découpage du motif, une épaisseur de papier considérable et donc des coûts de production élevés, pour des raisons techniques et pratiques.Currently, there are so-called system books, also called animated books generally for children, which show patterns in low relief at the opening of the volume. Claims

1 - Method of creating a relief pattern on the gutter edge of a volume composed of assembled sheets, said method comprising the following steps: - development of a two-dimensional template having the pattern to be reproduced, - marking from the template of marks indicating the parts of the sheets to be folded, folding of the sheets according to the marking marks; characterized in that for each marked sheet is folded the sheet according to the marking marks by folding the outer corners of the sheet towards the interior of the volume at an angle of 180 °.

2 - Process according to the first claim, characterized by the realization of a template of the pattern to be reproduced, on a flat surface, from an illustration of said pattern that is broken into as many vertical segments as there are pages to fold.

3 - Process according to claims 1 and 2, characterized by the marking of folding marks on the volume sheets by transferring to the gutter hip of each page to fold, according to a translation effect, the two exhémités of each vertical segment of the corresponding template.

4 - Process according to claims 1 and 3, characterized in that the folding operations of the sheets are performed by folding the outer corners of each sheet, at an angle of 180 °, and along an axis which consists of the mark obtained by the method of claim 3 and a point freely selected on one side of the sheet.
