Description
TOILE EN FIBRE DE VERRE APTE A ETRE MISE SOUS TENSION ET PROCEDE POUR LA REALISATION D’UNE TELLE TOILEFIBERGLASS CANVAS THAT CAN BE TURNED ON AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
DOMAINE TECHNIQUE DE L’INVENTIONTECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to the field of stretched coatings, type webs or sheets, for walls such as ceilings, walls, or for wall structures such as false ceilings, false walls, slabs, boxes.
The invention relates more particularly to a fabric made from glass fibers, said fabric being able to be tensioned, and a method for producing such a fabric.
ETAT DE LA TECHNIQUESTATE OF THE ART
[003] De manière conventionnelle, les toiles utilisées pour la réalisation de faux plafonds ou de faux murs tendus sont réalisées en un matériau choisi parmi le groupe comprenant les fibres textiles, de préférence synthétiques telles que le polyester, ou les films polymères tel que le polychlorure de vinyle (PVC).[003] Conventionally, the fabrics used for the production of false ceilings or false walls are made of a material chosen from the group comprising textile fibers, preferably synthetic fibers such as polyester, or polymer films such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
[004] Bien que de telles toiles présentent un certain nombre d’avantages (résistance au feu, étanchéité à l’air et à l’humidité), leur résistance au déchirement peut s’avérer parfois dans certains cas insuffisante.[004] Although such fabrics have a number of advantages (fire resistance, air and moisture tightness), their resistance to tearing may sometimes be insufficient in some cases.
The invention aims to overcome this disadvantage by proposing an alternative to conventional fabrics in technical textiles or PVC used for the realization of tensioned wall structure.
An object of the invention is therefore to provide a fabric having properties in terms of fire resistance and sealing at least equivalent to fabrics made of technical textiles or PVC while offering resistance to stress, and in particular tearing, improved.
Another object of the invention is to provide a method for producing such a fabric.
OBJET DE L’INVENTIONOBJECT OF THE INVENTION
For this purpose, and according to a first aspect, the invention provides a tensionable fabric comprising woven glass fibers coated with a protective coating and at least one organic softening agent.
The final fabric thus obtained has a high tear strength and good strength and durability over time, while being fire resistant and waterproof. It also remains simple to handle and the formation of any folds during any manipulation (handling during the making of the fabric, during transport or during its installation), is avoided or at least limited.
The softening agent content of the final fabric will advantageously depend on the degree of flexibility desired. The quantity will also be adapted according to the type of softening agent used.
According to a particular embodiment, it is expected that the softening agent is present in the final fabric in a proportion of less than 10% of the total weight of the final fabric, in order to maintain the fire classification of the fiber of glass. By not exceeding 10%, the flexible fabric according to the invention can be implemented in buildings, public places and homes.
In a preferred embodiment, the softening agent comprises mainly starch. By a majority is meant a starch content greater than 50% of the total weight of the agent.
The fiberglass fabric thus softened can thus, according to a particular application, be used for the production of false walls, slabs or caisson.
It is of course obvious that the fabric according to the invention is not limited to such use, and can be implemented in other embodiments without departing from the scope of the invention. The fiberglass fabric according to the invention can in particular be used as a wall or ceiling covering in the same way as a conventional glass fabric. The fiberglass fabric according to the invention being more flexible than the conventional glass cloths used as a coating has the advantage of making the handling easier and of facilitating the installation by avoiding creases, especially in cramped or curved or angular parts.
Advantageously, the coating covering the glass fibers is formed of a thermoplastic, such as polyurethane or polyvinyl chloride.
According to another aspect, the invention relates to a method for producing a fabric capable of being energized. The method in question comprises a first step of making a woven fabric interlaced with glass fibers. It is followed by a step of coating the woven fabric in order to "fix" the weaving, i.e. the intercrossing of the glass fibers together, and stabilize the latter. In a preferred embodiment, the woven glass fibers are coated with a layer of polyvinyl chloride or a layer of polyurethane. The advantage of coating with this last material is to give the fabric properties acoustic insulation.
In order to obtain a flexible fabric, an organic softening agent is added during the manufacture of the fabric. The softening agent may be added during one or more of the following steps: during the step of producing the woven fabric, during the coating step of the fabric, after the step of coating the woven fabric.
Regarding the addition of the softening agent after the coating step of the woven fabric, that can be carried out immediately after the coating operation of the glass fibers or later.
According to a preferred embodiment, the softening agent is added by spraying. This thus ensures a better impregnation of the softening agent in the fabric and a uniform distribution thereof. By impregnation in the fabric, it is understood that it is the impregnation of the softening agent within the fibers when the diffusion takes place during the fiber weaving step, the impregnation with within the glass fibers and / or coated when the diffusion is carried out concomitantly with the coating step of the fabric, and the impregnation of the glass fiber assembly and coated when the addition is carried out after the step of coating the woven fabric.
According to another embodiment, it may be provided that the softening agent is previously incorporated and mixed in the coating before the coating is deposited on the woven glass fibers.
It is of course obvious that the technique of adding the softening agent is not limited to the aforementioned techniques and any other suitable technique known to those skilled in the art can be implemented without departing from the scope of the present invention. 'invention.
Advantageously, the softening agent is added in a predetermined amount to give the final fabric the desired degree of flexibility. This amount will also depend on the type of softening agent used.
For some applications, including the production of false walls, slabs and the like, the softening agent is added so that the content thereof in the finished product does not exceed 10% of the total weight of said fabric final so as to respect the MO fire rating of fiberglass and allow the use of the canvas in public or private premises.
Advantageously, the softening agent comprises mainly starch. By a majority is meant a starch content greater than 50% of the total composition of the agent.
The fabric obtained according to the method described above can be used for producing false walls, slabs, boxes and the like.
The invention is described in the foregoing by way of example. It is understood that the skilled person is able to achieve different embodiments of the invention without departing from the scope of the invention.
