Description

1 La présente invention concerne la chirurgie esthétique des organes génitaux masculins. Il s'agit d'une prothèse d'agrandissement du testicule. Les prothèses de testicule actuellement disponibles sont des prothèses qui se substituent au testicule lorsque ce dernier a fait l'objet d'une ablation pour quelle que raison que ce soit, ou lorsqu'il est absent de façon congénitale ou acquise. Ainsi, est-il possible d'implanter une prothèse en lieu et place du testicule absent. En revanche, lorsqu'un testicule est de petite taille (hypotrophie ou atrophie), il n y a pas d'indication à proposer une prothèse de substitution. La prothèse inventée ici apporte une solution originale par le fait qu'elle vient envelopper le 10 testicule présent. Afin d'augmenter le volume global de la glande, la prothèse en forme de « coque » vient recevoir le testicule. La coque, de forme ovale, d'épaisseur variable en fonction du volume final souhaité et du volume du testicule qu'elle reçoit, est fendue (fente de largeur variable) pour laisser place à l'épididyme. La prothèse d'agrandissement testiculaire est en silicone à usage médical. Sa densité est 15 telle qu'il permet de reproduire au mieux la consistance d'un testicule normal. La prothèse, dans son épaisseur présente des perforations de 2 mm de diamètre en moyenne, espacées les unes des autres d'au moins 15 mm, afin de permettre une circulation des liquides autour du testicule. La figure 1 illustre les caractéristiques de la prothèse. Le procédé de fabrication de la prothèse est un procédé classique de moulage. La prothèse 20 est fabriquée à partir d'une prescription qui mentionne le diamètre interne et le diamètre externe de la coque prothétique. La prescription mentionne également la hauteur de la coque et la largeur de la fente pour l'épididyme. Toutes ces dimensions sont données à partir d'une échographie de mensuration des testicules qui est réalisée avant la fabrication de la prothèse. Le chirurgien prescripteur doit tenir compte de la capacité (et la limite) du scrotum à recevoir un volume 25 supplémentaire. La prothèse, stérilisée, est implantée chirurgicalement.
