Système prévu pour une inspection visuelle d'équipements (8) disposés à l'intérieur d'un carénage extérieur (10) recouvrant une structure d'un aéronef, ce système comportant des caméras (12) disposant de moyens de fixation prévues pour être fixées à l'intérieur du carénage (10) et dirigées vers les équipements (8), des dispositifs d'éclairage (14) prévus pour éclairer ces équipements, ainsi que des moyens de transmission des images données par les caméras, prévus pour transmettre les images à l'extérieur du carénage.
