Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé d'extraction du zirconium et du hafnium d'un mélange comportant au moins les étapes suivantes : a) dissoudre tout ou partie d'un matériau céramique à traiter comprenant au moins du zirconium, du hafnium et de l'yttrium par un solvant aqueux présentant un pH inférieur ou égal à 2 afin d'obtenir une composition liquide dans laquelle le zirconium, le hafnium et l'yttrium dudit matériau sont dissous, et b) extraire sélectivement le zirconium et le hafnium dissous dans la composition en les séparant de l'yttrium dissous dans la composition afin d'obtenir un premier produit d'extraction comprenant le zirconium et le hafnium ainsi sélectivement extraits.The present invention relates to a method for extracting zirconium and hafnium from a mixture comprising at least the following steps: a) dissolving all or part of a ceramic material to be treated comprising at least zirconium, hafnium and yttrium with an aqueous solvent having a pH of less than or equal to 2 in order to obtain a liquid composition in which the zirconium, hafnium and yttrium of said material are dissolved, and b) selectively extract zirconium and hafnium dissolved in the composition separating them from yttrium dissolved in the composition in order to obtain a first extraction product comprising zirconium and hafnium thus selectively extracted.
