La présente invention concerne cabestan comprenant un bâti (11) et une poupée (10) montée mobile en rotation autour dudit bâti (11), ledit cabestan comprenant des moyens d'entrainement en rotation (13, 16, 18, 100) de ladite poupée (10) autour dudit bâti (11), lesdits moyens d'entrainement comprenant un arbre d'entrée (13) relié à ladite poupée au moyen d'un train épicycloïdal (100) dont le solaire (17) est lié audit arbre d'entrée (13), la couronne (21) est liée à ladite poupée (10) et les trois satellites (19) sont portés par ledit bâti (11).
