The invention is part of the orthodontic and dental field, and relates to an accessory for analyzing the symmetry of the dental arches. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In dentistry and orthodontics, it is common practice to make models of the maxillary and mandibular arches. It is important to identify precisely the relative position of each tooth on the arches, but also the position of the arches in relation to the facial structures, in position of static occlusion and also in dynamic occlusion during mandibular movements. For this purpose, practitioners commonly use semi-adaptable articulators comprising two bases on which models of the dental arches are reported, means of articulation of these two bases representing the natural temporomandibular joints. At this level can be articulated an accessory named facebow. The facial bow is used to position the maxillary and mandibular arches vis-à-vis a reference plane consisting of the bicondylian axis (frontal plane) and nasion point. In practice, the bicondylar axis being substantially parallel to the axis passing through the ear canals, the facial bow is provided with ear olives for its articulation on the base. This slight inaccuracy, however, does not alter the final estimate of the information collected using such an articulator. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The invention aims at enabling the practitioner an improved analysis of the positioning and symmetry of the maxillary and mandibular arches with respect to the facial structures, particularly the median sagittal plane and the frontal plane which is perpendicular thereto. PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION With a view to achieving this object, an accessory for a dental arch symmetry analysis aid is proposed, comprising a transparent plate on which are placed visual references, the plate being held by the patient. distal end of a deformable support having a proximal end provided with means for its attachment to the facial arc of an articulator on which the dental arch is reported. Thus, the pins of the plate are superimposed in transparency to the arcade reported on the base of the articulator. It is then easy for the practitioner to precisely locate, relative to these marks, the position of the teeth of the arch and the information of symmetry of the arch relative to the facial structures modeled by the articulator. According to a particular aspect of the invention, the deformable support is an articulated arm whose joints have axes of articulation all parallel to each other, the plate extending parallel to the axes of articulation. By positioning the accessory on the facial bow so that the hinge pins 25 are parallel to the axis of articulation of the facial bow on the base, we can bring the plate resting on the dental arch on the last existing molars and on the incisal edges. In particular, it will be determined: - right and left occlusal planes defined by the natural teeth parallel or non-parallel to each other, 3028409 3 - the absence of symmetry of the position of each of the homothetic teeth in the frontal plane, parallel to the axis of articulation, - also the absence of symmetry of the two half-arcades with respect to the median sagittal plane of the face, perpendicular to the axis of articulation. PRESENTATION OF THE FIGURES The invention will be better understood in the light of the following description of a particular embodiment of the invention, with reference to the figures of the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is an articulator view known per se; , dental has been reported; Figure 2 is a perspective view of the articulator of Figure 1 with an accessory according to the invention; Figure 3 is a perspective view of the accessory of Figure 2.
OF A PARTICULAR EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION With reference to FIG. 1, a typical semi-adaptable anatomical articulator used in dentistry comprises a lower base 1 having a plate 2 for receiving the plaster cast model. a dental arch 3. The base 1 comprises arms 4 which extend to receive the upper plate through the joints 5. At this level, connecting means can articulate a face arc 6 along an axis X which 30 models the bicondylar axis of articulation of the perspective of one on which a mandible arch. The face bow 6 comprises two half-arches 6a, 6b, here hinged together at a central hinge 7 which allows to adjust their relative spacing. A crossbar or bar 8 extends between the two half-arches 6a, 6b being secured to them by pressure screws 9a, 9b. the bar 8 extends parallel to the X axis. Here, a rod 10 makes it possible to stabilize the face bow 6 in a determined angular position. All this is well known and is only recalled as an illustration. The accessory 20 of the invention is illustrated in Figures 2 and 3. It comprises a transparent plate 21, here marked with a registration grid 22. The grid plate further includes a reference cross on the other side to avoid parallax error when photographing the superposition of said plate on the model of the dental arch. The plate is held by a clamp 23 provided with a needle screw forming the distal end of an articulated arm 24, whose joints are all organized along parallel axes. The clip 23 is shaped so that the plate 21 is held parallel to the axes of articulation of the arm 24, while being able to be adjusted laterally, as indicated by the double arrow in FIG. 3. The proximal end of the arm 24 is shaped clamp 25 provided with a needle screw for securing the accessory 20 to 25 the bar 8 of the facial arc of the articulator. After arranging the arches on the lower and upper bases of the articulator, and adjusting it to the corresponding facial morphology, only the lower base of the articulator will be used. As illustrated in the figures, one of the models of the arches is placed on the lower base of the articulator, and the face bow is placed 6. The accessory of the invention is attached to the cross-member 8. The funds of the The clamps 23 and 25 are parallel to the hinge axes 24 of the arm 24. Since the cross-piece 8 is itself parallel to the axis X representing the bicondylar axis, it is thus ensured by forcing the bottom of the clamp 25 against the crosspiece and the plate 21 against the bottom of the clamp 23, the plate 21 remains permanently parallel to said articulation axes, which ensures that the parallel lines 22a of the grid of the plate 21 are always parallel to the said axes of articulation. Thanks to the joints of the arm 24, the plate 21 can be brought into overhang of the dental arch 3 in contact therewith, in particular at the most distal points of the upper faces of the remaining molars and the incisal edges. The axis of symmetry of the plate 21 parallel to the lines 22b of the grids 22 is marked on the piece 25 and the axis of symmetry of the face bow is similarly marked on the bar 8. The plate can thus be moved laterally to match its axis of symmetry with that of the facial bow and therefore the articulator.
Thus arranged, the grid of the plate makes it easy to locate the position and the orientation of each of the teeth, the possible symmetries, dissymmetries or deformations of the dental arch, and in general, any geometrical data facilitating the work of the patient. clinician practitioner, in the context of the study of each of the dental arches and their referenced position on the facial structures. The invention is not limited to what has just been described, but on the contrary covers any variant within the scope defined by the claims. In particular, although the arm of the accessory is here an articulated arm, it will be possible to use any other type of deformable support, as long as it allows the fastening of the plate to the facial arc of the articulator and the displacement of the plate. In addition, although here the accessory is attached to the transom of the facebow, the accessory can be brought to any other part of the facebow.
