Abstract
The invention relates to a mechanical device consisting of two wheels positioned one above the other interconnected by a chain formed alternately of buckets and connecting rods, the whole bathed in an aqueous liquid. The cycle begins with the injection of compressed air into the buckets (equipped inside the inner tube) in contact with the lower wheel; when they are full of air, they undergo a rising vertical force (Archimedean thrust). The buckets propelled at the top drive the upper wheel in a circular motion by transferring their kinetic energy; at this stage the chambers are emptied of the air which is reused in the lower part, the aqueous liquid enters the cups which then go down again for a new cycle. The energy delivered by the buckets to the upper wheel and recoverable at its axis for the drive of any machine or for the production of electricity.
Description
1 DOMAINE TECHNIQUE La présente invention concerne un dispositif mécanique (Fig.1) permettant d'exploiter l'énergie mécanique produite par des poches d'air remontant par gravité à la surface d'un liquide (poussée d'Archimède).TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a mechanical device (FIG. 1) making it possible to exploit the mechanical energy produced by air pockets rising by gravity to the surface of a liquid (Archimedes' thrust).
STATE OF THE PRIOR ART Some devices implementing the Archimedes thrust consist of a device with two high gears and two lugs interconnected by two ordinary mechanical chains. Tanks / bottles are attached laterally and transversely to the links of these two chains and thus are found off-center of the vertical axis thereof. Fixing on a single link, consisting of two axes of a few millimeters in diameter, can not provide great strength to this type of system, mainly because of the decentering of the thrust relative to the axis of the chain. This type of device certainly can not produce more than a few tens of kilowatts.
OF THE INVENTION The device according to the invention allows it, on the contrary, to generate much larger powers of up to several hundred kilowatts and this, thanks to a chain not more ordinary, but formed of a succession of buckets ( Fig.2 & Fig.3) interconnected by connecting rods (2Fig.3). The buckets are equipped on each side with guiding rollers (4Fig.3) which take place inside two metal (U-shaped) rails (3Fig.2 & 3Fig.3) forming a loop around the upper wheels. and lower. This configuration makes it possible to obtain a vertical thrust centered on the axis of the lateral rails. The entire device and placed in a well buried and bathed in an aqueous solution. The operating cycle (Fig.1) is as follows: 1) The cycle starts with the injection of compressed air into the air chambers placed inside the buckets (1Fig.2 & 1Fig.3) when the buckets are in contact with the lower wheel (Fig.2) of the device. The air is injected by valves (equipped with non-return valves placed every 45 ° (7Fie.2 & 5Fie.31 of anal on the nourtour of the wheel 3025560 2 2) The buckets whose tubes are inflated compressed air in the lower part of the device, undergo a rising vertical force due to gravity (Archimedes thrust) 3) This thrust propels the buckets towards the surface of the aqueous liquid and when they come into contact with the upper wheel (Fig.2 & Fig.4), they snap on it and train in a circular motion by transferring their kinetic energy accumulated during the climb. 4) As the buckets rotate around the upper wheel, their inner tubes empty their compressed air leaving room for the aqueous liquid, then the buckets 10 go down to the lower wheel to perform a new cycle. 5) The air contained in the inner tubes of the buckets in contact with the upper wheel is sucked up to be reinjected by a pump into the air chambers of the buckets coming into contact with the lower wheel; a supplement of compressed air is provided by an external compressor.
According to the particular embodiments: - The chain composed alternately of buckets (Fig.2 & Fig.3) and connecting rods (2Fig.3) makes it possible to withstand high vertical forces. The air chambers housed in the cups make it possible not to consume more compressed air than that necessary for flushing the aqueous liquid contained inside the cups. They also prevent the release of compressed air during the lift cycle due to the decompression of air. The elimination of these two problems makes it possible not to cause hydraulic turbulence which would hinder the hydrostatic drag of the buckets by the rise of air bubbles on the surface, which would also cause an increase in the temperature of the water. - The two U-shaped or inverted T rails (3 Fig. 1), allow to support and guide the chain of buckets thanks to the lateral rollers and to center on the same vertical axis the force exerted by the buoyancy of Archimedes and the mass of the buckets. - The anti-turbulence plate (9Fig.2) makes it possible to separate upstream and downstream hydraulic flows in order to avoid hydraulic turbulence.
