Description
DOMAINE TECHNIQUE DE L'INVENTION La présente invention concerne une turbine multi-étagée reconfigurable.TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a reconfigurable multi-stage turbine.
In an organic Rankine cycle machine, this liquid working fluid is pumped and vaporized. The organic fluid vapor is then relaxed and then condensed. Low-boiling dense fluid is an organic fluid with a density higher than that of water and whose boiling point at the pressure of one atmosphere is less than 50 ° C. The evaporator, condenser and circulation pump exchangers are conventional equipment and can easily be found on the market. In contrast, equipment for the relaxation of working fluid vapor is much more complex. Turbines (turbines) are considered the best technology for gas expansion applications with a power greater than 400 kW, for reasons of efficiency and reliability, in comparison with volumetric expanders, such as screw expanders. , piston or scroll type. A turbine is designed for a given operating point in terms of temperature, outlet pressure, fluid flow, temperature and maximum allowable inlet pressure. A change in the operating conditions (for example because the actual output pressure is higher than the intended nominal conditions) leads to out-of-specification operation, which has the effect of reducing the efficiency and / or limiting the electrical power supplied. 30 Developing new turbines requires a wide range of engineering skills in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanics but also numerical simulation, quality control, as well as non-technical resources (purchasing, quality management ...) . The design and development of a new turbine also requires financial resources and development time. In addition, a poorly designed aerodynamic or mechanical turbine implies low performance in terms of efficiency and / or availability for the entire installation. Since the ORC machine technology mainly applies to medium / low temperature sources, with consequent average / low yields, it is hardly economically and industrially acceptable to design each time a new turbine for large projects. average (up to 3MW in particular). To take this into account, the ORC technology players have naturally developed a "product-oriented" market approach for their machines and turbines, limited to a given number of machines to cover all possible needs, rather than tailored system approach. However, the ORC applications are very diverse in terms of hot source temperatures, cold source, available thermal power to be valued and possible working fluid (for environmental or safety reasons). Among the design choices in the field of turbines, the rotational speed of the rotor and the number of stages are parameters influencing the cost. However, it is not possible to optimize the two easily and a design choice to reduce one of the parameters tends to increase the other (reducing the number of stages tends to increase the speed of rotation and therefore the speed linear). Multi-stage axial turbines are commonly used for steam or gas turbine applications, but in the state of the art of ORC turbines these are generally radial or axial type turbines with one or two stages in the field. most cases, and often with high rotational speeds. These turbines are generally of cantilevered mechanical design, with both bearings on one side of the shaft and the wheels on the other side as opposed to the so-called inter-bearing design, for which the elements of the turbine are located between the bearings. The cantilevered design makes it possible to reduce the number of sealing to one, but it is hardly compatible with a large number of stages. Similarly, for a given diameter, the choice of a supersonic flow, at least in the first distributor, is generally made to reduce the number of stages. This has the effect of increasing the rotational speed (and thus the linear speed at the periphery of the shaft) and of reducing to a greater or lesser extent the efficiency on the floor concerned. The main parameter guiding this set of decisions is that the implementation of a stage is expensive. For these reasons, axial ORC turbines are generally limited to three or fewer stages, and generally one stage for radial turbines. The term "wheels" here denotes thin, non-solid disks provided with fins fixed on the rotation shaft. The rotating assembly, [wheels + shafts] forms the rotor. Stator is the fixed parts of the turbine, and in particular the thin discs, not full, provided with fins attached to the body of the turbine. The set of non-rotating parts is called the stator. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention aims to remedy all or part of these disadvantages. In general, the present invention aims an ORC turbine optimized for small series, low cost and reconfigurable according to customer needs. To this end, according to a first aspect, the present invention is directed to a multi-stage axial turbine, for the expansion of low-boiling dense organic fluid, which comprises: a rotor for which bearings and seals are positioned; at each end, removable stages each comprising a fixed distributor and a mobile wheel fixed to the rotation shaft, each wheel being composed of a disc surmounted by fins and a crown, the assembly the wheel being integrally machined in the mass from a single block, each stage having, at the outlet, a subsonic flow whose direction has an angle less than 15 ° with respect to the axis of the rotor; the number of stages being greater than or equal to two. Thanks to these arrangements, the turbine is adapted quickly by adding or removing a stage between the bearings. In addition, by imposing a direction of flow out of each substantially axial stage, it is possible to remove or add stages upstream or downstream without disturbing the entire machine. One-piece machining saves costs and makes the assembly process easier. This also increases the reliability and distances clean modes of blading (vibration) and the addition or removal of a floor are greatly facilitated. In embodiments, the turbine object of the present invention comprises: a number of stages greater than or equal to three and / or a number of stages greater than or equal to five.
Thanks to these provisions, several reconfigurations of the turbine are possible, by adding or removing stages. In embodiments, the bearings are rolling and the seals are mechanical seal. The cost of manufacturing and maintenance of the turbine is reduced.
In embodiments, each distributor is composed of a disc surmounted by fins and a ring, the entire distributor being integrally machined integrally from one block, each distributor remaining a single piece when phases of assembly or in operation. One-piece machining reduces costs and facilitates the assembly process. This also increases the reliability and distances the clean modes of blading (vibrations). In addition, the addition or removal of a floor are greatly facilitated. In embodiments, each stage has an output, a subsonic flow whose direction has an angle less than 100 relative to the axis of the rotor. By imposing a direction of flow out of each substantially axial stage, it is possible to remove or add stages upstream or downstream without disturbing the entire machine. In embodiments, the rotational speed of the rotor is 1500, 1800, 3000 or 3600 rpm +/- 20 rpm. A rotation speed of 1500, 1800, 3000, 3600 revolutions per minute +/- 20 revolutions per minute allows a direct coupling with a generator, because it is about rotations speeds of the alternators with 50 HZ or 60 Hz for machines 2 or 4 poles.
DESCRIPTION D'EXEMPLES DE REALISATION DE L'INVENTION La présente description est donnée à titre non limitatif. In embodiments, the linear speed at the bearings and seals is less than 30 m / s. The low rotational speed of the rotor allows a low linear speed of the bearings. This allows the use of standard compounds for bearings (bearing) 5 and sealing (mechanical seal). In embodiments, the outer radius of the rotor is constant. The rotor of the turbine being of constant outer diameter design (also called "constant shroud"), allows the use of a cyclindrical expansion body, reusable for other applications, that is to say other conditions 10 relaxation of the fluid. In embodiments, the frequency of the first vibration mode of the rotor is greater than the maximum rotational speed increased by 20%. In embodiments, the degree of reaction is greater than 0.3 and the rotor is provided with an axial thrust compensation member of the balance and / or stop piston type. In embodiments, the stator is composed of three main bodies, an input body, an expansion body inside which the distributors are fixed, and an output body. According to a second aspect, the present invention is directed to a method 20 for adapting a turbine that is the subject of the present invention to different expansion conditions for the same fluid, which comprises a step of modifying the number of stages by removal or addition of at least one floor. According to a third aspect, the present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a turbine object of the present invention, which comprises, for at least one wheel or a distributor, a machining step in the mass of the wheel or the distributor integrally from one piece, integrating the machining of the disc, fins and crown. In embodiments, the step of machining the wheels and distributors is performed by an approach of a machining machine in the axial direction. Since the advantages, aims and process characteristics of the second and third aspects of the present invention are similar to those of the turbine object of the first aspect of the present invention, they are not recalled here. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES Other advantages, aims and particular characteristics of the invention will emerge from the following nonlimiting description of at least one particular embodiment of the device that is the subject of the present invention, with reference to FIGS. attached drawings, in which: - Figure 1 shows, schematically and in section, the fins of a particular embodiment of the turbine object of the present invention, - Figure 2 shows, schematically and in section, an embodiment Particularly, the turbine of the present invention and FIG. 3 schematically represent a wheel machined integrally in the mass of a particular embodiment of the turbine which is the subject of the present invention. DESCRIPTION OF EXAMPLES OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION The present description is given in a non-limiting manner. It is noted that the figures are not to scale. The turbine object of the present invention is a reconfigurable turbine, for the relaxation of dense fluid in a machine Organic Rankine cycle, on the principle of multi-stage axial turbines. This multi-stage dense fluid axial turbine has a multi-stage, inter-bearing rotor mechanical design which allows it to be reconfigured for other applications. The turbine object of the present invention has a flow corresponding to a triangle of axial speeds between two successive stages. Voluntarily imposing a flow direction at the output of each stage, which allows 25 to remove stages upstream or downstream of a stage without disturbing the entire turbine, and thus reconfigure. With respect to maintaining the axial direction of the stage inlet / outlet flow, a turbine is generally designed for flow entering a stage at a given angle (eg 15 °), and exiting at another angle, Potentially with a deviation. Preferably, in the turbine that is the subject of the present invention, each stage of the turbine is optimized so that the flow exits axially, that is to say with an angle of 00. This provision is more restrictive for the choice of profiles and the design of the turbine, but allows to have a reconfigurable design, in the sense that a stage is removed, the flow entering the next floor stage removed is always in the axial direction. The turbine has a subsonic flow, allowing a low rotational speed of the rotor. This subsonic flow allows a low linear speed of the ends of the rotor shaft where the bearings and seals are positioned. The increase in the number of stages also makes it possible to reduce the rotational speed and, by extension, the linear speed at the periphery of the shaft and at the level of the bearings and seals. Subsonic flow and increasing number of stages affect the technology of bearing and seal components. Owing to the number of stages considered and the subsonic flow, the turbine that is the subject of the present invention makes it possible to use bearings instead of a gas bearing or a magnetic bearing, and sealings of the mechanical seal type instead of the gas seal. . This reduces the cost of manufacturing the turbine.
The turbine comprises integrally machined wheels and distributors in one piece, including the sealing ring. This feature reduces the cost of manufacturing and facilitates the assembly process. This characteristic also increases the reliability of the turbine and removes the clean modes of blading and the vibrations they induce.
The manufacture of the wheels and distributors by direct machining in the mass, including the sealing ring, makes it possible to significantly reduce manufacturing costs compared to conventional assemblies of the type a) wheel with fins reported then strapping or b) wheel machined in the mass per periphery, then laying a crown by strapping. For this manufacture, a preferred method is the machining, by a machine five axles and axially, the fins in the body of the wheel. The industrialization costs of this technique are offset by the frequency of use of these wheels in the context of a reconfigurable turbine. The rotor of the turbine preferably has a constant outer diameter (also called "constant shroud"), which allows the use of a cylindrical expansion body, reusable for other applications. A multi-stage axial turbine (with a large number of stages) makes it possible to reconfigure the turbine by removing stages upstream or downstream of the turbine.
On observe, sur la figure 1, un ensemble d'ailettes 10 comportant des ailettes de stator 105 et des ailettes de rotor 120.Thus, if a five-stage axial turbine constructed in accordance with the provisions presented here can relax an organic fluid vapor of twenty bars at two bars, one can: a) use the same elements of the turbine by selecting the first three stages for achieve an optimized relaxation from twenty bars to six bars, which increases the temperature of the cold source, for example in the context of a machine running in cogeneration and producing electricity and heat. b) use the same elements of the turbine by selecting the last four stages to achieve an optimized relaxation of sixteen bars to two bars, which makes it possible to effectively enhance the value of a hot source at lower temperatures. It is thus possible quickly to reconfigure a turbine from a first application to a second application at a lower cost. The system can also be considered for the same turbine operating at two different regimes depending on the season. For example for a given ORC machine application: a) in summer, the ORC machine produces only electricity and the turbine uses its five stages of expansion. The condensation energy is dissipated at room temperature, whereas b) in winter, it is sought to value the heat output of the machine and thus the optimized relaxation is limited from twenty bars to six bars. For this application, a quick intervention allows to remove once a year two stages of turbine, the rest of the elements being unchanged. This ensures optimal performance for each period of the year. The mechanical design of the turbine object of the present invention can also be used for other fluids under similar expansion conditions. Only the fluid vein, the profile of the fins, is adapted and the mechanical components can be preserved. FIG. 1 shows a set of fins 10 comprising stator wings 105 and rotor blades 120.

In FIG. 1: the vector C1 represents the speed of the fluid at the inlet of the distributor.
