Abstract

The invention relates to a device for cultivating aromatic plants in a kitchen cupboard transformed into a mini indoor very functional greenhouse, where the climate is stable and identical throughout the year. This box system eliminates the loss of space caused by a planter traditionally stored on the kitchen bench; sometimes inappropriate. It is equipped with a device reconstituting the vital parameters necessary for the growth of plants; by the presence of horticultural lamps (14) of a ventilation (12) and a retention drawer (8) for storing pots (15) containing potting soil. This electrical equipment is automatically managed by a programmer (12). The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the bio-culture of aromatic plants for culinary consumption.

Description

The present invention relates to a standard closet and integrable kitchen, especially dedicated to the cultivation of aromatic herbs. Traditionally, herbs are grown in planters stored on a balcony, terrace, or kitchen bench.

These places of culture have several disadvantages: Outside they undergo the climates of each season, or the winter is fatal to them. On the kitchen bench, they reduce the work surface and do not necessarily have the brightness necessary for their good development. Stowed in front of the window, they condemn its opening and considerably reduce the lighting of the room.

The device according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages. It has the advantage indeed, according to a first feature, to be made in a standard kitchen cupboard box, fully integrable with other furniture; more the front of this closet is fully customizable with any model of the market thanks to its removable headbands.

The second characteristic is its technical part which gives it the function of a real small automated and very functional indoor greenhouse, where the climate is stable and identical throughout the year. The aromatic plants are grown in individual pots of 1.5 liters to a maximum of eight, placed in a stainless steel retention tank, forming with the headband 20 front a removable drawer. The top of the cupboard is equipped with a horticultural lighting system, where the daily lighting time of plants is regulated by a programmer. The intrusion of the air necessary for the supply of Co 'is carried out between the band and the bottom of the two glass doors. This circulation is carried out thanks to a fan connected to this same programmer. Its second function is to evacuate the heat produced by the lamps. With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a standard kitchen cupboard box (1), dressed with an upper strip (2) and two customizable hinge supports (4). A second customizable strip (3), fixed on the holding tank (8) forms a drawer serving as a reserve of water or too full of watering the eight pots (15) for planting the aromatics in potting soil. Two transparent glass doors (6) are fixed on four hinges (5) allowing access to the plants.

A ceiling lamp (7) fixed in the top of the box (1) is intended for the installation of electrical equipment such as: Sockets (13) for screwing horticultural lamps (14) for lighting plants, and a socket (11) for supplying the programmer (10) of the lamps (14) and the fan (12).

The box (1) has three openings on the top: The number (16) for extracting air from the fan (12), the (17) for mounting the sealing sleeve (9) and access to the programmer (10) and the hole (18) for the passage of the power supply cable of the socket (11). The inner faces of the box (1) and the ceiling lamp (7) are lined with reflective film for better distribution of light and protect the box (1) from moisture. (Note: the electrical cables are not shown in Figures 1 and 2, they are the subject of a traditional wiring diagram not provided, providing no specific element to the invention). As a non-limiting example, the box will have the standard dimensions of 80 cm in length for 70 cm in height and a depth of 30 to 40 cm depending on the different models available on the market, and may be realized according to other dimensions. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the bio-culture of aromatic plants for culinary consumption.

CLAIMS1) Aroma plant closet device integrable in a kitchen characterized in that it comprises a box (1) equipped with a holding tank (8) having culture pots (15) arranged under a horticultural lighting (14) and ventilated by a fan (12) which rejects the air through an opening (16). 2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the front of the box (1) is customizable by two bands (2) and (3) and two hinge supports (4) for receiving two glass doors (6). 3) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that a programmer (10) on the top of the box (1) automatically controls the lighting of a horticultural lighting (14) 10 and a fan (12). 4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the inner walls of the box (1) are reflective for better light distribution horticultural lighting (14) and for better protection against moisture.
