Abstract

Procédé pour encoder une suite de symboles utilisant plusieurs modèles du type arithmétique ou du range coder et comprenant des étapes où : - chaque modèle est associé à un critère d'appartenance, - on parcourt la suite pour déterminer, pour chaque symbole, le modèle d'encodage auquel il appartient, en fonction des critères ; puis, - on détermine une probabilité d'occurrence de chaque symbole dans le modèle correspondant; puis, - on parcourt la suite en encodant chaque symbole successivement; et, - on constitue un fichier à partir du code ainsi obtenu.
