Abstract
Para-pheromones for the biological control of cratoptera Cratopus humeralis and sp (Weevil) of fruit trees and Diptera Bactrocera cucurbitacea and sp., Cucurbitaceae and fruit trees of the Indian Ocean. The present invention relates to preparations based on synthetic mixtures consisting of reproductive attractive substances and their use for mass attracting economically harmful insects for field crops. The present invention relates to the attraction of economically harmful male insects, such as the Bactrocera fly which is a genus corresponding to fruit flies and vegetables of the family Tephritidae, as well as other economically harmful insects belonging to other families. like the Cratopus (Coleoptera, Curculionoidea) that attack the leaves of fruit trees (avocado, litchis ...). No environmental pollution is observed, especially in organic farming.
Description
The present invention relates to mixtures of synthetic aromatic molecules which are reproductively attractive and to their use in attracting economically harmful or crop pests en masse.
There were no attractants or soft or biological solutions for this fruit tree pest beetle. The present invention concerning the attraction of Cratopus humeralis and Bactrocera is a durable solution. Existing products such as Cuelure are less effective and more costly in controlling Bactrocera cucurbitacea and do not act on Cratopus beetles. The present invention therefore relates to the attraction of Cratopus humeralis (Coleoptera, Curculionoidea) which attack the leaves of fruit trees (avocado, lychees ...) .. The damage of this nocturnal beetle on the leaves can be very important and are 15 also the cause of viral and mycotic infections (Figure 1). This attractant also relates to other economically harmful insects belonging to other families of economically harmful male insects, such as the Bactrocera fly which is a genus corresponding to fruit flies and vegetables of the family Tephritidae. The Dacini flies of the cucurbitaceae and fruit trees of the Indian Ocean are important targets because these flies lay eggs in all cucurbits and certain fruits grown in Reunion: zucchini, melon, pumpkin, cucumber, 25 darling, ... and tomatoes These Dacini are found in many countries around the world, in Asia, Hawaii and West Africa and are attracted by para-pheromone traps.
This para-pheromone for Cratopus humeralis and sp and Bactrocera cucurbitacea and sp. is prepared from cinnamaldehyde, citral, alpha-isomethyl ionone and linalool with proportions of 25; 25; 25; 25. for these active ingredients. No environmental pollution is observed. In particular in organic agriculture where the use of these attractive substances is intended to replace the substances used for the protection of various cultivated plants, which makes it possible to have recourse only to this fight against these insects. Proper use of the above preparations results in a significant reduction in the use of chemical insecticides, widely used for plant protection, and thus provides protection at a lower cost. -2- This substance is repellent for bees. Each substance having specific properties is their assembly in a suitable trap which allows the effectiveness of the invention. the liquid pheromone compound is adsorbed on a foam or felt pad gradually releasing the molecules into the atmosphere. This attraction is placed at the bottom of the trap or in a suitable location. On one foot 10 of avocado more than 60 Cratopus could be trapped over 3 months. With regard to Bactrocera more than 200 individuals per week are captured in each trap (Figure 2). Its use can be used to prevent reproduction or directly degradation and thus hinder the succession of pest generations. In the context of sustainable agriculture, these traps are used to count catches. Beyond a certain threshold, it gives the signal of a treatment for a maximum effect. Indication of how the invention is susceptible of industrial application: The production of tablets containing capsules or buffers containing the attractant can be easily packaged and transported (envelope, airway ..)
