Abstract
Centrale électrique houlomotrice immergée. Le dispositif de centrale électrique houlomotrice immergée utilise des pompes immergées (4) fixées sur le plancher océanique (10) tirant leur énergie de fonctionnement de la houle. Ces pompes (4) sont chargées de pomper l'eau de mer afin d'en alimenter des générateurs électriques à turbines hydrauliques ou à hélices (6). L'alimentation peut être directe ou, comme dans le cas de la figure de l'abrégé, se faire par l'intermédiaire d'un réservoir « tampon » (2), fixé sur le plancher océanique (10) ou construit sous le plancher océanique (10) ou sur le littoral. Ce réservoir (2) est relié à l'atmosphère par une ou plusieurs cheminées (1) émergeant au dessus de la surface de l'eau. Dans ce cas les pompes (4) pompent l'eau dans le réservoir (2). L'eau d'alimentation des turbines est l'eau de mer admise par les canalisations (5), établissant le contact entre l'océan et l'intérieur du réservoir (2), équipées en leur extrémités de générateurs (6). La différence de pression entre l'entrée et la sortie des turbines (ou hélices) des générateurs est donnée par la différence de niveau (h) entre la surface libre de l'océan et la surface libre de l'eau dans le réservoir (2). L'utilisation de plusieurs générateurs (6), dont l'alimentation peut être individuellement régulée, interrompue ou restaurée par les vannes (9), associée à un réservoir (2) de grand volume, permet l'adaptation de la production à la consommation et / ou la régulation de la production en fonction des modifications des conditions de houle.
