Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the entrainment of a device for scraping floating materials on the surface of bodies of water or substances decanted at the bottom of tanks. This type of device is commonly called scraper and is used mostly in water treatment plants.
There are different types of scrapers that can be classified according to several criteria depending on the type of training, the scraping technology, the shape of the pool or the application. The device according to the invention relates to bottom scrapers (scraping materials decanted at the bottom of basins) or surface (scraping floating materials) of the type called "chain" for rectangular basins. PRIOR ART To better describe the prior art of the chain scrapers, reference should be made to FIG. 1. The latter illustrates a conventional surface scraper, comprising the following main elements: a drive shaft 7 equipped with pinions driving 6 chains 2 at each of its ends; two return gears 9 rotating on pinion carrier supports 8; two chains 2 (a chain on each side of the drive shaft) along the walls of the basin, carried by the pinions 6 and 9 and rotating in a loop on said gears; scrapers 1 fixed on the chains 2; - A drive geared motor 4 ensuring the rotation of the drive shaft 7 via a transmission 3 and a drive pinion 5 integral and coaxial with one of the pinions 6 and the drive shaft 7; possibly, for surface scrapers, a "slope" 10 on which floating materials are pushed and drained. There are several rules to respect for the design and manufacture of conventional chain scrapers. First, the squeegees must remain parallel to the drive shaft so as not to break when passing over the gears. This implies three constraints: - the gears on each side must rotate at the same speed so as to avoid any shift of the parallelism between the squeegees and the drive shaft, - the rotation of the two chains must be perfectly synchronized at the start-up time and stop; - the two chains must have the same length. The solution to the first two constraints above is to have an axis (called drive axis) connecting the two drive gears 6 so as to provide a rigid connection between these two gears. Thus they rotate perfectly synchronized, which causes a synchronized rotation of the return pinion 9 and thus a synchronized operation of the entire scraper. Secondly, the whole must have a certain rigidity. Scrapers that stay suspended between the two chains (or between two guides supporting the scrapes along the walls eventually) tend to flare. The arrow depends on the length of the squeegees and therefore the width of the pool: the larger the pool, the longer the squeegees and the more rigid they must be to avoid flaming beyond acceptable limits. It is the same with regard to the drive shaft. This axis is even more sensitive to the problem of buckling because it turns permanently. Its buckling thus causes cyclic and frequent deformations and therefore failure problems related to the fatigue of the materials. Therefore, the width of the scraper, and therefore the width of the basin is limited mainly by the length of the drive shaft. As a guide, in practice the length of the drive shaft rarely exceeds 8 or 9 meters, which does not allow to use basins of greater width when necessary. To complete the description, it is important to emphasize that a bottom wiper has the same main elements and generally imposes the same mechanical constraints.
Ainsi, cet axe déporté n'est pas limité en termes de longueur et sa construction devient beaucoup plus légère.DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention proposes a wiper drive device designed to solve the problem of the length of the drive shaft and the constraints that result therefrom. It makes it possible to simply delete the "conventional" drive shaft, as described above, by implementing a second axis, offset relative to the drive axis. Unlike the "conventional" drive shaft, it can be provided with or associated with intermediate supports limiting buckling. Thus, this deported axis is not limited in terms of length and its construction becomes much lighter.
For this purpose, the scraper for purification basin according to the invention comprises: two chains substantially along the walls of the basin, mounted in closed loop on gears, respectively motor or driving said chains and return, bearing a plurality scrapers oriented perpendicular to the direction of progression of said chains; - Drive means for rotating the motor pinions. According to the invention, the rotational drive means of the motor pinions consist of: a drive arm, an axis of rotation parallel to the axis of rotation of the motor pinions, mu in rotation by means of organs engines; - Transmission means of the rotational movement printed on the drive shaft to the drive pinions, positioned substantially in the vicinity of both ends of said drive shaft.
Thus, the device according to the invention makes it possible to achieve a perfectly synchronized rotation of the two chains carrying the scrapers without using a common axis connecting the two drive gears of said chains.
According to an advantageous characteristic of the invention, the drive shaft is composed of a single piece or of several parts interconnected by one or more gimbals or other types of coupling. In doing so, this drive shaft made of several elements avoids buckling. According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, the transmission means of the rotational movement printed on the drive shaft to the driving gears consist of chain or drive belt mounted around a roller or pulley secured to and coaxial with each of the two ends of the drive shaft on the one hand, and with a pulley or equivalent means integral with and coaxial with the motor gears. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES The manner in which the invention can be realized and the advantages that result therefrom will emerge more clearly from the exemplary embodiment which follows, given by way of indication and not by way of limitation, in support of the appended figures. Figure 1 is as already said, a schematic representation in perspective of a surface-type scraper chain type of the prior art. Figure 2 is a view similar to Figure 1, a scraper according to the invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The following description refers to a two-axis surface scraper for the sake of simplicity and so as not to weigh down the text. However, this device could also cause a bottom wiper or a bottom and surface combined wiper, or any other scraper with several axes.
According to a first embodiment of the invention more particularly described in connection with FIG. 2, the device according to the invention drives a chain scraper equipped with two chains 22 of identical length equipped with scrapers 21 fixed on said chains 22, and carried by gears, respectively a pair of motor gears 26 and a pair of gears 34.
The sprockets belonging to the same pair are coaxial. In other words, they are likely to adopt a rotational movement with respect to the same axis of rotation. The motor and drift gears 26 rotate on pinion support supports, respectively 35 and 30, fixed on the internal walls 33 of the tank of a wastewater treatment basin, for example. the invention comprises a drive shaft 31, offset relative to the axis of rotation of the drive pinions 26. This drive shaft is fixed on the walls of the vessel via support / bearing assemblies 29. The drive shaft 31 is rotated by means of a geared motor 28 actuating a chain or belt 24, in a traditional manner. The two ends of the drive shaft 31 are provided with pulleys or pinions 27, each driving a chain or belt 23, cooperating with a pinion or pulley 25, integral with and coaxial with the motor pinions 26.
The device according to the invention operates in the following manner. The gearmotor 28 causes rotation of the drive shaft 31 via the drive chain or belt 24. The drive shaft 31 in turn drives the two drive gears or pulleys 25 through the drive shaft. intermediate sprockets 27, and chains or belts 23. Due to their attachment to the motor pinions 26, the rotation of the pinions or drive pulleys 25 causes that of said motor pinions 26, which in turn, cause the movement of the chains 22 .
The device according to the invention may have various variants. Thus, the drive shaft 31 can be made in one piece, and therefore be monobloc, capable of covering the entire width of the basin or tank. Alternatively, it can be composed of several elements connected to each other by gimbals or other types of coupling. Each of these elements may have its own support / bearing assemblies 29 or be carried by neighboring elements. In the same way, the drive chains 23 and 24 can be replaced by toothed belts.
If necessary, the transmission of the rotational movement between the gearmotor 28 and the drive shaft 31, or between the latter and the motor pinions 26 can be achieved by toothed pinions, gimbals or other transmission means to arrive to the same result.
The pinion supports can be fixed on the walls of the pool or on independent supports.
Enfin, si l'installation comporte plusieurs bassins fonctionnant en parallèle, l'arbre d'entrainement 31 peut être commun à plusieurs bassins et assurer l'entraînement de plusieurs racleurs en utilisant un seul motoréducteur 28.Finally, if the installation comprises several basins operating in parallel, the drive shaft 31 can be common to several basins and drive several scrapers using a single gear motor 28.
The scraper thus described can thus be used as surface scraper, bottom scraper, or combination scraper bottom and surface.
