Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method of revealing an image. It applies in particular to the revelation of reproduced images.
STATE OF THE ART When reproducing an image, the act of drawing the points, curves and characteristic shapes of the initial image on a new surface coincides simultaneously with the act of revealing the color of these points, curves and forms. Thus, the color drawn by a drawing pencil is visible to the naked eye, just like a brush stroke on a canvas. During certain situations, such as during a performance of manual reproduction of an image by an individual, the technical impossibility of dissociating these two events can lead to a decrease in the quality of the performance in his eyes by removing the surprise linked to the discovery of the final work.
The current technical means do not make it possible to dissociate the act of revelation from an image of the act of tracing of its graphic elements. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention aims to remedy all or part of these disadvantages.
For this purpose, the present invention aims at an image revealing device which comprises: a binarization means of an image to be transferred to form an image to be printed, a support, a means of transfer of at least one element among the dots, the contour lines and the shapes of the image printed on a surface of the support, an adherent material, a means of coating said surface of the support with the adherent material, as a function of at least one element of the image on the surface of the support and at least partially opaque fragments adapted to stick on the adherent material to reveal the image represented by the glue.
Such a device does not require that the image thus reproduced be revealed at the same time. In fact, it is possible for the author of the reproduction to trace the image to be reproduced without the final result being able to be guessed before the revelation step, which can take place at a deferred instant. The presence of a control means of a printer offers the possibility of displaying the image more easily in the case of non-planar surfaces. The means of binarization of an image allows an increased facility during the step of coating the surface with the adherent material since it is a matter of not more than one color. In embodiments, the binarization means includes contour extraction means in an image. These embodiments, in which the contour extraction can precede or follow the binarization, allow the user to only postpone the contours of the image before coating the surfaces surrounded by these contours with adhesive material. The implementation of the invention is thus facilitated and faster. In addition, the amount of ink used for printing is very small. In embodiments, the device that is the subject of the present invention also comprises carbon paper. These embodiments have the advantage of making accessible an exact report of points, contour lines and shapes of the image to be reproduced to anyone.
The present invention also aims at a process for revealing an image which comprises: a step of image transfer, which comprises: a step of binarization of a digital image to form the image to be transferred and a step of printing the image to be reflected on a flexible sheet, at least one of the points, the contour lines and the image shapes on a surface of a support. a step of coating said surface of the support with an adherent material, as a function of at least one element of the image carried on the surface of the support and a step of revealing the image represented by the adherent material by setting contact of the surface with at least partially opaque particles.
Such a method does not require that the image thus reproduced be revealed at the same time as its production. In fact, it is possible for the author of the reproduction to trace the image to be reproduced without the final result being able to be guessed before the revelation step, which can take place at a deferred instant.
The step of printing an image to be reflected on a flexible sheet offers the possibility of displaying the image more easily in the case of non-planar surfaces or to help the drawing, by a user, of the image to be revealed. The step of binarizing a digital image to form the image to be transferred allows greater ease during the step of coating the surface with the adherent material since it is a matter of not returning more than one color . In embodiments, the adherent material is of a color not distinguishable by the naked eye from the color of the surface of the support. These embodiments have the advantage of allowing a greater variety in the composition of the adherent material through the use of dyes.
In embodiments, the transfer step of the method that is the subject of the present invention comprises a step of applying the flexible sheet to carbon paper itself bearing on the surface of the support and a step of applying point pressure on points, contours or uniform areas of the printed image. These embodiments have the advantage of making accessible an exact report of points, contour lines and shapes of the image to be reproduced to anyone. In embodiments, the method which is the subject of the present invention comprises, after the revelation step, a step of varnishing at least one surface on which the image is revealed. The advantage of these embodiments is that they increase the durability of the reproduction of the initial image. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES Other advantages, aims and features of the invention will emerge from the following description of at least one particular embodiment of the method and the device for revealing an image, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: which: FIG. 1 represents a logic diagram of steps of a first embodiment of the method which is the subject of the present invention, FIG. 2 represents a logic diagram of steps of a second embodiment of the method which is the subject of the present invention. FIG. 3 represents, schematically, a particular embodiment of the device that is the subject of the present invention.
DESCRIPTION D'EXEMPLES DE REALISATION DE L'INVENTION La présente description est donnée à titre non limitatif. La partie de la surface qui n'est pas enduite de matériau adhérent reste vierge de particules.DESCRIPTION OF EXAMPLES OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION The present description is given in a non-limiting manner. As of now, we note that the figures are not to scale. FIG. 1 shows the first embodiment of the object method 113 of the present invention. This method comprises a step 105 of transferring at least one of the points, the contour lines and the shapes of the image (a photograph for example) on a surface of a support. This step 105 comprises a step 125 of binarization of the image to be reported, for example with the use of graphic editing software on a computer. Preferentially, the step of binarization comprises a contour extraction step in the initial image, before or after binarization. Thus, the user can only postpone the contours of the image. This transfer step 105 also comprises a step 130 for printing the binarized image on a flexible sheet, made by means of a printer for example. This step 105 of transfer can be achieved by affixing the mine of a pencil on a stretched canvas, for example. This method 10 also comprises a step 110 of coating said surface of the support with an adherent material, as a function of at least one element of the image carried on the surface of the support. Such a step 110 could result in the laying of a thin layer of liquid glue along graphic elements previously drawn, including the contours of the initial image. This process finally comprises a step 115 of revealing the image represented by the adherent material by bringing the surface into contact with particles or at least partially opaque pigments (of one or more different colors). A projection of such particles, such as flakes, attaching only to the adherent material present on the surface, reveals in an instant the reproduction of the image produced. The part of the surface that is not coated with adherent material remains virgin particles.
This method comprises a step 205 of transferring at least one of the points, the contour lines and the shapes of an image (for example a photograph) on a surface of a support. This transfer step 205 comprises a step 225 of binarization and contour extraction of an image to be transferred, for example with the use of graphic editing software on a computer. This transfer step 205 also comprises a step 230 for printing the binarized image on a flexible sheet, made by means of a printer for example. This transfer step 205 further includes a step 235 for applying the flexible sheet to carbon paper itself resting on the surface of the support. The adherent material is, preferably, at least partially transparent. Finally, this transfer step 205 comprises a step 240 of applying a point pressure to points, contours or uniform areas of the printed image. This pressure may, for example, be achieved by a stylus with a rounded tip thus not marking the printed image. This method also includes a step 210 of coating said surface of the support with an adherent material, as a function of at least one element of the image carried on the surface of the support. Such a step 210 could result in the laying of a thin layer of a color glue, indistinguishable from the color of the surface of the support, along graphic elements previously reported. This method 20 further includes a step 215 of revealing the image represented by the adherent material by contacting the surface with at least partially opaque particles (of one or more different colors). Projection of such particles, such as flakes, attaching only to the adherent material, on the surface reveals in an instant the reproduction of the image achieved through the glue leaving the other part of the blank surface of particles. This method 20 finally comprises a step 220 of varnishing at least one surface on which the image is revealed. FIG. 3 shows a particular embodiment of the device 30 of the present invention. This device 30 comprises means 340 for binarization of an image (for example a photograph), such as a graphical editing application 340, preferably comprising a contour extraction of the image, before or after binarization. This device 30 also includes a means 3497440 6 345 for controlling a printer 350, such as a computer, of the image to be transferred connected to the means 345 for binarizing the image. This device 30 further comprises a support 305 such as a canvas stretched on a frame or a sheet placed on a rigid cardboard. This device 30 also comprises a sheet of carbon paper 310. This sheet 310, once placed between the binary image to be transferred and the surface of the support, makes it possible to transfer graphic elements of the image to be deferred by pressing a average 320 of carry. Such a transfer means 320 may be for example a stylus or a finger. This device 30 also comprises an adherent material 330 such as glue or paint 10 and a means 325 for coating the surface with the enduring material, such as a brush for example. This device 30 finally comprises at least partially opaque particles 335 adapted to stick to the adherent material to reveal the image represented by the glue.
