Abstract

The head-rest (1) has a support cushion (2) including a flexible stuffing material block (4), and a reinforcement (3) that includes two parallel metal rods (5) for assembly of the head-rest on a seat. A set of upper ends (6) of the rods is connected by a continuous metal connection rod (7) of circular section. The connection rod includes an embedded portion (8) and is folded up so as to present small overall dimensions and to form an unbalanced mass for damping of vibrations of head-rest when the vehicle is moving, where the embedded portion has a mass greater than or equal to 800 grams. The connection rod is provided in a spiral or helical form.
