Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a gypsum board profile for the assembly of partitions and ceilings without the use of a connecting strip. Traditionally, gypsum boards for the cladding of interior partitions and ceilings are glued to the support or screwed to a metal frame. Their long edges are treated differently depending on the intended use, under the names BA (thinned edges, joints with strip embedded in the coating), SB, BC or BD (stuffed joints, without tape). BA type is the most used, its thin edges and the use of strips eliminating the risk of cracking between plates. As a corollary to the treatment of embedded strip joints, the processing time is substantial (coating, laying the strip, re-coating, sanding, retouching, careful surfacing) and rarely rewarded with a proper finish. The profile of these plates can be modified to obtain a perfect flatness in a significantly reduced execution time. The proposed plasterboard has no thinning on its finishing face, the laying being edge to edge by screwing on metal frame or by gluing on support. The long edges of the face to be bonded (without finishing) comprise recessed areas provided with injection holes of the adhesive mortar, superimposed on the fastening rails, separated by the screwing zones. The adhesive mortar secures the two plates 20 and eliminates the risk of cracking. The oblique profile of the field of each long edge allows an optimum filling of the adhesive mortar in order to be flush with the facing and to reduce the sanding operations to the strict minimum without the risk of unevenness of the entire apparatus. According to particular embodiments: The claimed profiles can be applied to the four edges of the plate. The attached drawings illustrate the invention. FIG. 1 represents the long edge in section, FIG. 2 represents the long edge in plane, facing side to be glued or screwed, FIG. 3 represents the mode of assembly in section of two plates on a fixing rail, FIG. 4 represents the method of assembly by bonding on a support.
With reference to these drawings, the edge of the face to be bonded or screwed (5) comprises recessed areas (1) and an oblique profile (2). These recessed areas are provided with an injection hole (3) for introducing the adhesive mortar ensuring the strength and rigidity of the equipment. Between each recessed area is positioned a screwing zone (4) to ensure the positioning of each plate prior to the injection of the adhesive mortar. The pressure of the injection fills the space reserved by the recessed areas, and comes flush with the facing face (6) thanks to the oblique profile. The device presented is particularly intended for the production of partitions and ceilings without the use of a bonding strip between plasterboards.
