Abstract

The stockings have a knitted or woven envelope extending from a foot to thighs. A lower part of the envelope is composed by a genuine knitted or woven slipper that is provided with thread having compressive effect and contentives fibers to ensure elective circular compression of plantar veins of the foot and effective return relay in venous. The slipper is knitted or woven with double thickness and begins with toes and completely wraps the foot to ensure a circular action on the veins of the foot.

Description

The function of the venous system is to bring the oxygen-depleted blood rich in toxins back to the heart. The constraints of this venous return are more important at the level of the foot and the ankle which support all the weight of the gravity of the venous column +90 mmHg, against 40 mmHg at mid-thigh.

The conjunction of several phenomena ensures venous return in the legs - The presence of valves that allow only blood to flow from the surface to the depth, from the foot to the heart, - A first impulse given by the venous network of the foot, - A second impulse produced by the contraction of the calf muscles, - And finally a heart lung aspiration phenomenon. During walking, the crushing of the plantar arch and the muscular contraction of the calf compress the veins and propel the blood towards the heart. In the lower limbs, the two main players in venous return are thus the sole, calf and thigh muscles that will act as an ejection pump. In the treatment of venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, the ejection performance of the leg muscles is greatly enhanced by the application of compressive low. This compression / compression well framed by a precise specification of the LPPR (list of benefits and refundable products) has demonstrated a real efficiency.

Les dessins annexés : Fig. 1 : Vue de profil 20 Fig. 2 : Vue de dos Fig. 3 : Vue de face To be taken in charge, the regulation of the LPPR imposes: - a knitted fabric, - sizes of threads, - measured pressures at the ankle 13 to 17 hpa for a class I, - 20.1 to 27 hpa for a class II, - a degressivity of the ankle at the top of the calf or thigh of 75% for a class I, - 70% for a class II but no pressure is required for the part of the foot! At the level of the foot venous pump, seat of the highest pressures, no significant help is currently provided by any current product. This is a major deficiency A recent anatomical study, carried out by Doctors Berthier, Prévoteau and Gillot, made it possible to affirm that the true plantar venous pump is deep, intermuscular, constituted by the plantar veins. We can affirm that the footwear part of all the current products, without real pressure can not bring the desired help. - 2 - The blood reservoir of the foot that can be mobilized by a strong manual compression of the sole of the foot or which empties during the support of the foot on the ground when walking corresponds to the plantar veins. Its rapid ejection is responsible for the peak of Doppler reflux observed in the posterior tibial veins. These anatomical data explain the importance of the venous pump of the foot, first step of the venous return, and the necessity of a compressive treatment adapted to its role. The first aim of our patent is to improve the performance of venous drainage at the foot by combining according to precise specifications, compressive fibers and fibers with a protective effect (Fig. 1), to knit in double thickness. a real draining slipper (Fig. 1), starting point for the manufacture of socks, thighs and compression tights. According to our invention, this stocking is composed first of all of a compressive slipper starting at the root of the toes completely wrapping the foot and going up to the Achilles tendon (Fig 2 and Fig 3), in order to have a circular action on all the veins of the foot and in particular on the lateral plantar veins. The compression slipper goes up on each side of the malleolus to frame the posterior and anterior tibial veins to ensure a deep venous hunt.
