Abstract

The invention relates to a centro-medullary nailing device (1) used for reducing the fractures of the straight bones of small animals. Said nailing device includes a guide body (2) consisting of a portion that has horizontal walls and an arched vertical portion (C), an index rod (19) sliding into the vertical guide portion (2), the reverse V-shaped end (195) of which makes it possible to exert pressure on a triangular recess (35) located on a nail (3) that is inserted into the medullary canal of the bone and is precisely secured to the guide, and a clamping wheel (18) that ensures, through the rotation thereof, the sliding of the rod (19) into the guide body (2) and, by correspondingly applying the pressure of the rod (19) onto the nail (3), makes it possible to keep the latter stationary and to "blindly" lock the same by means of a screw (4). The aim of said method (P) is to obtain stable, solid locking of the nail and the screws in the fractured bone, the guide (2) subsequently being removed.
